An End-Times Primer - Part 3 of 3

9 Reasons Why Conspiracy Nuts
Think Christ Could Return Any Second - Part 3

By Dennis Roberts
Reasons 7-9

7.    Muslims, the Mahdi and the Middle East – Israel is surrounded by Muslim enemies whose greatest dream is to grind the Jewish state to dust. This is old, ongoing news for Bible prophecy nuts or just about anyone else.

However, one newly recognized factor in the conflict is that millions of Muslims believe their messiah – the Mahdi or Twelfth Prophet – is about to appear to rule the world as the final imam. He will be accompanied by Jesus Christ, who will help the Mahdi overcome the false messiah, Dajjal.
Is it any wonder that Jesus warned that false messiahs and false prophets will be able to deceive, “if possible,” even the elect (Matt. 24:24)?
When he was president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appeared to be trying to induce the coming of the Mahdi by pushing the development of a nuclear bomb, inviting war with Israel and the Great Satan, America.  Ahmadinejad told a United Nations gathering Sept. 26, 2012, that the mahdi’s arrival on earth “will mark a new beginning, a rebirth and a resurrection. It will be the beginning of peace, lasting security and genuine life.”

Some Bible prophecy types think the Mahdi will arrive with Planet X or in a spaceship accompanying Comet ISON. I’m not endorsing – just reporting.

8.    Technology, the Mark of the Beast and the Tower of Babel – At one time, Christians believed the introduction of the Social Security Number would lead to the Mark of the Beast. Then came bar coding and we thought the Mark would be a tattoo on the forehead or wrist.

Today, with nanotechnology, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips, facial recognition and dozens of other new tracking and identification devices, the Antichrist can take his pick of how to brand people.

Rumors abound – most of them disproven – that US military personnel are implanted with RFID chips, that Obamacare will require participants to have an RFID implant, and that children in some school districts  have been chipped without their parents’ knowledge.

These things may not have happened yet, but everything is in place to make forced identity implants a possibility. We conspiracy nuts believe that eventually the New World Order, headed by the Antichrist, will establish a cashless global financial system that utilizes implants, tattoos or other devices embedded in every human’s forehead and/or wrist. (Google has filed a patent for an “electronic skin tattoo” which can be applied to a person’s throat as a communication device. It may also have potential as a lie detector, according to the patent application.)

Mankind just can’t help itself. The human race continues to believe that because something CAN be done, it SHOULD be done. Scientists even now are inventing ways to blend technology and biology, creating hybrid humans who combine flesh and blood with artificial intelligence. Proponents say this kind of innovation will eventually eliminate disease and even death.

Unfortunately, humans have a tendency to twist scientific discoveries into weapons of our own destruction. For instance, look at all the wonderful things that have come about as a result of nuclear energy, such as atom bombs and the disasters of Chernobyl and Fukushima.

If God stopped the building of the Tower of Babel because “nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them”, how do you think He feels about our efforts at, for instance, genetic manipulation and carrying our human sickness into outer space?

9.    False flags – The term “false flag” originates from the practice of exhibiting the enemy’s flag as your own, thereby deceiving him long enough to destroy him.

Today the term is used to describe an incident manufactured by “the powers that be” to bring about a desired reaction. For instance, many people believe that 9/11 was engineered not by Muslim fanatics but by our own government in order to draw the United States into war with Iraq and set the stage for events that will lead to a one-world government.

Others maintain that shooting massacres such as those that occurred at Sandy Hook and Los Angeles International Airport were false flag operations intended to convince Americans of the need for firearm confiscation. Likewise, some conspiracy theorists say the Boston Marathon bombing was instigated by the Department of Homeland Security and the CIA to persuade us that we need more surveillance, more wiretaps, less privacy and less freedom, and to prepare us for martial law.

False flags have also been used to divert attention from real crises that might undermine efforts toward a one world government. The “manmade global warming” scam is an ongoing false flag whose main purpose is to bolster the idea that we need a New World Order to regulate the activities of everyone on the planet.

(For a good examination of the various methods and signs of a false flag operation, go to http://www.activistpost.com/2013/11/11-signs-of-false-flag.html ) .

At this moment, Obama needs something drastic to take attention away from the planned disaster that is Obamacare, as well as the collapsing economy that is fast destroying the middle class. Expect a major catastrophe, “terrorist attack” or war very soon.

(I am reluctant to mention the possibility of an assassination or attempted assassination of the president, particularly given the fact that the NSA is monitoring the Internet, looking for word combinations such as “assassination” and “president”. However, Obama may have become a liability for the shadow government. His murder or attempted murder could very well lead to martial law and/or civil war. “They” created the fraud that is Barack Obama, and they may decide he is more valuable as a martyr than as a puppet.)

So these are just a few reasons we conspiracy/Bible
prophecy nuts think the end is near, at least for life
as we know it. I haven’t even touched on the topics
of the death of our planet (the Gulf Oil spill, the
Fukushima radiation disaster, the depletion of the
honey bee population, etc.), worldwide persecution
of Christians and the criminalization of Christian
beliefs in America (i.e. opposition to homosexual
marriage), or the consolidation of money and power
by the Bilderberg group.

Do I think we are about to enter the Great Tribulation? Well, I think we have never been at a point in history like this one, when so many pieces of the Revelation puzzle seem to be coming together.

I definitely believe that America is on the brink of catastrophe. Good has become evil and evil has become good (Isaiah 5:20). People who call themselves Christians chase after materialism and treat church as a one-hour-per-week obligation rather than as a body of believers loving one another and glorifying Christ. Non-Christians increasingly see Christians as the enemy, a bunch of kill-joys and haters who believe in a concept called “sin” and a fictional Magic Man in the Sky.

We are in the time of the 10 Bridesmaids of Matt. 25:1-13:

“Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. The five who were foolish didn’t take enough olive oil for their lamps, but the other five were wise enough to take along extra oil. When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

“At midnight they were roused by the shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’

“All the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lamps. Then the five foolish ones asked the others, ‘Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’

“But the others replied, ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves.’

“But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked.

“ Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, ‘Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’

“But he called back, ‘Believe me, I don’t know   you!’

“So you, too, must keep watch! For you do not know the day or hour of my return.”

Whether Christ’s return is imminent or not, we all face the end of our time on Earth. Our best preparation is to seek always to be “full of the Holy Spirit”, to strive always to remain close to the Savior, and to join with brothers and sisters in Christ as often as possible, “…not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching” (Heb. 10:25).

You don’t need to be a proper conspiracy nut to think that’s a good idea. You just need to be a follower of Christ.

The members of the so-called “mainstream news” media have prostituted their watchdog role and now act mainly as propagandists for liberalism. Between 80 and 90 percent of reporters vote Democrat, and many of them step easily into PR jobs for Democrat office holders. In 2008, Federal Election Commission records showed that 235 reporters donated to Democrats and only 20 to Republicans.

Without Talk Radio and the Internet, Americans would not have a clue what our politicians – whose approval rate has sunk to nine percent – or the shadow government are up to. Here are a few places to look for the news and opinions the liberal Fifth Column won’t carry.
