Pastor alarmed by occult theme of teen library books

Charlie Butts   (OneNewsNow.com) Thursday, August 28, 2014
A Texas pastor is fighting to get books on the occult off library shelves and away from children.
Phillip Missick is the pastor of King of Saints Tabernacle in Cleveland, Texas, near Houston. On a recent visit to the city library, out of curiosity he walked to the youth section to look at the books on those shelves.
“When I looked these books were about vampires, dating vampires, courting vampires, witchcraft - book after book, shelf after shelf,” he tells OneNewsNow. “I looked up on top of the shelf and there was a witch's hat and what looked like a demon to me, and I was appalled.”
Those types of books primarily target teen girls 12-14 years old. Missick brought it up before the ministerial alliance of which he is a member, asking pastors to sign a petition to remove the books. Only 10 of about 40 pastors did sign, but Missick was later called aside and told the alliance didn't deal with such issues.
“Like [American Family Association founder] Don Wildmon used to say, we're responsible for what goes into the minds of our children,” he explains. “And I thought, you know, what could be greater garbage than seducing your daughter into having a fantasy affair with a vampire? It's crazy.”
Missick also spoke very briefly before the city council but to no avail, and he feels abandoned. He didn't read the books, saying you don't have to "wade through a sewer to know what it's full of." He suggests putting books into the teen section that deal with Texas heroes, men and women of character.

My Spirit Says The LORD Is Right At The Door ...

I cannot bring myself to do the normal planning, purchasing, or pushing ahead into what has always been my life on earth. My 'to do' list seems far-fetched and receding into the background of consciousness. Even my health issues (which have absolutely nothing to do with what I am discussing here) cannot maintain a hold over my thoughts. Sometimes I feel completely well - like today, for instance. The planning for an event or appointment even a week away seems like a dream that will never come to fruition.

It's nearly impossible to pay a bill, to balance a bank account. Money? I won't be needing it. And it seems so immaterial, so pointless to deal with. Making a grocery list seems a waste of time. Eating is deliberate, only a necessary act because I realize I'm still in the physical body; it's not because I'm really hungry.  I must forcibly pull myself into my 'life' because my increasingly short attention span gravitates elsewhere. I find it difficult to 'hold on' to a conversation about clothes, trips, lawn care, and the mundane topics of the cares of this world.

I can't bring myself to worry about ISIS, ebola or any of the news, expected false flags, financial collapse, volcanism, weather, earthquakes, tragedies expected. Even Planet-X / Nibiru etal. And I have started to skip the Dark Side's crazed articles and deluded nonsense, which has become even more foolish, tedious and repetitious. I sense they are treading water - killing time, getting careless. They, too, are ready and eager (to commit mayhem), being held back only by the Restrainer.

My focus is continually turned toward the skies. Toward the blessed hope. Toward the expectation of eternal life. Toward King Jesus, the Lord of Lords, and His appearing. I listen to Wintley Phipps sing "Until Then" and get blessed numerous times each day. I find my hands reaching up in praise and joy to the Lord. Often. Very often.

I recognize that this sounds like radical and increasingly strange behavior, but that's what Christians have always looked like!  I didn't know it would be like this. I'm slowly losing touch with this reality - this matrix - and a new and different one is ever so subtly descending on me.  I am approaching the end of my time on earth. What if I'm wrong? I'm not. It is happening. It is real. I'm not saying I'll be gone within 24 hours ... although I can hope!

What if the Lord isn't coming back for a few years? I don't know. I guess I'll tread water. I only know I can't go backward. I'm done with this world, and the Lord is in charge of me. He'll take care of me, as He always has. I'm in His Presence all day, every day. I'm a familiar face, and present at the foot of the Throne often. I'm safe. That one thing I know. My time here in the flesh is coming to an end. The finish line is in sight. My departure to higher realms is nigh. By the grace of God I have kept the faith!

I'm so at peace. I'm so full of joy and anticipation. I know His voice. I'll recognize Him.

I'm ready.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Mega-Church Has Night Club, Fitness Center, 12 Lane Bowling Alley

$26 Million Laodicean Mega-Church Has Night Club, Fitness Center, 12 Lane Bowling Alley

by NTEB News Desk

The prophecy of the great falling away is being fulfilled in your sight

"And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." Revelation 3:1-3
The bible warns, straight from the mouth of Jesus Christ, that in the last days the professing Christian church would be very wealthy, very self-satisfied, would no longer preach the truth, and would relegate the Lord Himself  to standing outside and knocking to get back in. It would be a totally worldly, carnal, dead church.
That day has fully arrived.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – A mega-church in Alabama recently held an open house to celebrate the opening of its $26 million dollar, six-dome entertainment center, which some are stating is far from biblical Christianity and the example of the early Church.

Church 2014: Nightclubs, bowling alleys, fitness center, and teen dance club. Everything but Jesus and the Bible.
Faith Chapel Christian Center in Wylam, near Birmingham, completed the project on it 137-acre campus last year, all of which was funded by the tithes and offerings of its more than 6,400 members. The facility is located in a depressed area where a number of residents are low-income.
We believe we can really meet the needs of the community,” leader Michael Moore, author of the book Rich is Not a Bad Word, told AL.com. “It will bridge people from the world to the Kingdom.”
According to reports, the facility features—among other amenities—a 12-lane bowling alley, a basketball court, a fitness center, a banquet hall and cafe, a teen dance club, and an adult alcohol and smoke-free night club.
People may not want to come to a church, but they’ll come to a bowling alley,” Moore explained. “People have needs other than spiritual needs. There’s a need for safe, clean, uplifting, family-oriented entertainment.”
He said that the open house held in July served in part to announce the six-dome structure, called “The Bridge,” to the community, and to “inspire” other churches nationwide to build similar facilities.
“Now we want the world to know,” Moore explained. “Our church wants to be an inspiration.”

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST FOR IRAQI CHRISTIANS ONCE AGAIN ... from CRI

Subject: Penance Means Conversion - urgent prayer request for ISIS invaded areaDear Friends,

Just a few minutes ago I received the following text message on my phone from Sean Malone who leads Crisis Relief International (CRI). We then spoke briefly on the phone and I assured him that we would share this urgent prayer need with all of our contacts.

"We lost the city of Queragosh (Qaraqosh). It fell to ISIS and they are beheading children systematically. This is the city we have been smuggling food too. ISIS has pushed back Peshmerga (Kurdish forces) and is within 10 minutes of where our CRI team is working. Thousands more fled into the city of Erbil last night. The UN evacuated it's staff in Erbil. Our team is unmoved and will stay. Prayer cover needed!"

Please pray sincerely for the deliverance of the people of Northern Iraq from the terrible advancement of ISIS and its extreme Islamic goals for mass conversion or death for Christians across this region.

May I plead with you not to ignore this email. Do not forward it before you have prayed through it. Then send it to as many people as possible.

Send it to friends and Christians you may know. Send it to your prayer group. Send it to your pastor and phone him/her to pray on Sunday during the service - making a special time of prayer for this. We need to stand in the gap for our fellow Christians.

METHANE, HYDROGEN SULFIDE, DEADLY GASES RELEASED AROUND THE WORLD + News Links

DEADLY HYDROGEN SULFIDE AND SUFFOCATING METHANE BEING RELEASED IN AIR AROUND THE WORLD
The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event. COMPREHENSIVE REPORT HERE.

ISIS In America (and in Fergusn)

Original article at patheos.com HERE

We should not ignore this chilling warning from the Chaldean Archbishop of Mosul:
The Italian journal, Corriere della Sera, published August 9 the statement of the exiled Chaldean Archeparch of Mosul, Amel Nona. The statement is brief and exceedingly powerful.
“Our sufferings are the prelude of those you, Europeans and Western Christians, will also suffer in the near future. I lost my diocese. The physical setting of my apostolate has been occupied by Islamic radicals who want us converted or dead. But my community is still alive…Try to understand us,” Archbishop Nona pleads. “Your liberal and democratic principles are worth nothing here.” Indeed, we can even argue that these principles paralyze us and make us blind to the reality of persecution by and in Islamic spheres. “You must reconsider our reality in the Middle East because you are welcoming in your countries an ever growing number of Muslims.”
Fr Schall comments
We think these immigrants are coming to find jobs or to escape violence. But in fact many are coming with missionary purposes, to convert in one way or another everyone to Islam. The Christians of Mosul were given the standard Muslim choice—conversion or death. Some managed to flee.  The Islamic State means business.
Indeed. After the beheading of James Foley, the Islamic State is issuing blood curdling threats:
“We will drown all of you in blood” and according to this article ISIS has plans to infiltrate Western nations with sleeper cells to carry out terrorist attacks.

When we stop to consider some of the underlying psychology and dynamics, the circumstances have all the characteristics of a bloody revolutionary movement. First, the rebels are drawn from an underclass that perceives itself as the victim of unjust powerful forces against which they have been helpless. They therefore feel that they are on a righteous cause. Secondly, they are driven by a shared belief system–in this case radical Islam. Sharing a belief system makes them capable of high levels of personal sacrifice for their cause. When that belief system is religious the power over the individual is even greater. Thirdly, they are able to overcome their own divisions by uniting to the higher cause and Fourth, when they are attacked, unless they are completely destroyed, their dedication to their cause and hatred of the enemy will only become greater.

Do they have plans to threaten America? Definitely. Brett McGurk, the deputy assistant US Secretary of State for Iran and Iraq has said,
ISIS is better equipped, they’re better manned, they’re better resourced, they’re better fighters, they’re better trained than the Al Qaeda in Iraq that our forces faced. It is a global expansionist, global jihadist organization. It is swollen with foreign fighters and suicide bombers who will go wherever the organization tells them to go. And that could very easily be capitals in the region, it could be capitals in Europe and, God forbid, it could be here.”
Should the disenchanted underclass in America–especially African Americans–rally to the Islamic flag then we may find the brutality of ISIS in  our own backyard.
ISIS banner appears in Ferguson MO
ISIS banner appears in Ferguson MO

That African Americans have gathered under the banner of Islam is nothing new. Nation of Islam teaches that Christianity is a white man’s religion and calls blacks to become Muslim.

Should radicals take over the Nation of Islam and foment violence we could witness a truly frightening situation. Indeed, this article claims that through social media, ISIS functionaries in the Middle East are already in contact with rioters in Ferguson Missouri encouraging them to embrace radical Islam and join the global revolution.

"I'm From The Government And I'm Here To Rewrite Your Sermon"

From World Net Daily HERE
Posted By Bob Unruh On 08/17/2014

Imagine uttering the words “pro-life” in your church and finding yourself targeted by an investigation from the feared and reviled Internal Revenue Service.

An expert on the First Amendment conflict between pastors and the federal agency, which says it is investigating speech delivered from pulpits, confirms that’s possible.

Daniel Blomberg, legal counsel for the Becket Fund, told WND a recent case brought by the Freedom From Religion Foundation against the IRS raises the prospect of investigations of pastoral speech.

FFRF demanded that the IRS investigate sermons focusing on certain politically charged “code words.”

But the case suddenly was dismissed at the request of FFRF, which said it was satisfied because the IRS agreed to adopt standards for determining whether churches and religious organizations are complying with restrictions on political activity. The case was dismissed without prejudice, so FFRF could file another lawsuit if it believes the IRS is not following through with its promise.

Blomberg said the case was brought by the foundation to force the IRS to attend church services and launch investigations.

But the abrupt closure left many questions unanswered, he said.
“That’s part of the problem,” he said. “The way the case was closed out. [It looks like] the FFRF collaborated with the IRS, getting their own case dismissed.”

He said still in question is what the IRS will allow ministers to say and in what context.

There are hints from the past. In 1993, the IRS issued guidance for its agents stipulating what a preacher can say during an election campaign.

“Talking about a pro-life cause, the importance of voting pro-life … those can be ‘code words’ that the IRS can use to come after the church,” Blomberg said.

“It is intimidating. What it is is speech police. That’s what’s going on,” he continued. “It’s a chill on speech. Even if you never lose tax exempt status, never personally face an excise tax, it’s … the specter of being investigated.”

The bottom line, he said, is the IRS uses the fear of government intervention to convince church leaders to self-censor.

“This should confirm for every American the belief we do not want to empower the government on what [is] said during religious services,” he said. “We need to be protecting [the speech of] religious leaders to religious congregations.”

Mathew Staver of Liberty Counsel and Liberty Counsel Action joined the argument.

“The Obama administration knows that Christians are the greatest threat to his far-left agenda,” he said. “That’s why his subordinates at the Department of Justice were more than willing to settle a lawsuit with the Freedom From Religion Foundation by offering the services of the IRS to target ‘rogue political churches.’”

He said the plan is to “uncover potential illegal political activities or ‘electioneering’ by America’s conservative churches in the months leading up to the 2014 mid-term elections.”

“In Barack Obama’s America, the left has taken unprecedented steps to attack religious and individual freedom. Having already admitted to targeting conservative groups, the IRS has doubled-down and says it will now monitor churches,” he said.

The organization has developed resources for pastors to help, including “Silence is NOT an Option” and “The Patriot’s Handbook of Political Action for Pastors and Churches.”

The IRS already is facing investigations and lawsuits over the agency’s discrimination against conservative organizations. In the Republican-led House, members are considering the arrest of former IRS official Lois Lerner for allegedly concealing information about the agency’s discriminatory practices.

The Independent Journal Review chastised the IRS for launching another clandestine campaign against Christian churches.

“There’s some funny business (and not the ‘haha’ kind) going on between the IRS and the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), an organization of ‘freethinkers (atheists, agnostics)’ who are ‘committed to the cherished principle of separation of state and church,’” the group said.

It was IRS official Mary Epps who told the tax division of the Department of Justice in a letter that as of June 23, the agency’s Political Action Referrals Committee had determined that 99 churches across the nation “merit a high priority examination.”

The whole mess is being addressed by the Alliance Defending Freedom, which, WND reported, recently demanded an accounting of the IRS’s actions.

“Secrecy breeds mistrust, and the IRS should know this in light of its recent scandals involving the investigation of conservative groups,” said ADF Litigation Counsel Christiana Holcomb.

“We are asking the IRS to disclose the new protocols and procedures it apparently adopted for determining whether to investigate churches. What it intends to do to churches must be brought into the light of day.”

ADF is asking the IRS to release “all documents related to its recent decision to settle a lawsuit with an atheist group,” FFRF

The situation smacks of politics, according to former Department of Justice Attorney J. Christian Adams.

“The left always goes after religion,” he said in an interview with Fox News. “They don’t like religion. It’s why the FFRF is trying to convert theology into politics.”

He said anti-religion groups “want to use the IRS as a weapon against Christianity, against faith.”

They “hate what the conservative wing stands for,” he said. “What they want to do is use the power of government, just like they did against the tea party. It’s the same thing. They want to turn belief in God into a political thing.

“They want to use the IRS to go after people who express faith from the pulpit.”

ADF Senior Legal Counsel Erik Stanley, who heads the group’s Pulpit Freedom Sunday campaign, asserted the IRS “cannot force churches to give up their precious constitutionally protected freedoms to receive a tax exemption.”

“No one would suggest a pastor give up his church’s tax-exempt status if he wants to keep his constitutional protection against illegal search and seizure or cruel and unusual punishment,” he said. “Likewise, no one should be asking him to do the same to be able to keep his constitutionally protected freedom of speech.”

The 2014 Pulpit Freedom Sunday is Oct. 5, when pastors are encouraged to comment on the moral positions discussed in political campaigns. The goal is to set up a legal challenge to the Johnson Amendment, cited by the IRS as reason to censor Christians’ speech during political season.

It bans churches and ministers from participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of, or in opposition to, any candidate for public office.

A short video about Pulpit Freedom Sunday: CLICK ON LINK AT BOTTOM OF PAGE FOR ORIGINAL ARTICLE WITH VIDEO

ADF points out that before 1954, “there were no restrictions on what churches could or couldn’t do with regard to speech about government and voting, excepting only a 1934 law preventing nonprofits from using a substantial part of their resources to lobby for legislation.”
