Is Francis About To Make Mary A Part of the Godhead?

This article comes from www.nowtheendbegins.com, which I cannot access for some reason.

Is Pope Francis Preparing To Declare The ‘Virgin’ Mary To Be 4th Part Of The Trinity?

Francis says that our hope is not Jesus, but Mary and Mother Church

"The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead theirdough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger." Jeremiah 7:18
Even though they lie and say that they are only "venerating" her, the Roman Catholic Church has since the middle 1800's worshipped Mary from the New Testament. They create idols of her, call her the Queen of Heaven, ascribe all sorts of miracles to her statues and bow down to her in worship. As someone who was raised in the Catholic Church and trained by Jesuits, I can testify that this 100% true. But Pope Francis this past weekend took Mary worship, a sin, to staggering new heights.

The Truth About The Roman Catholic Church
Francis, speaking to mark the occasion of the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows in Casa Santa Marta, said the following:
"And this is our hope. We are not orphans, we have Mothers: Mother Mary. But the Church is Mother and the Mother Church is anointed when it takes the same path of Jesus and Mary: the path of obedience, the path of suffering, and when she has that attitude of continually learning the path of the Lord. These two women - Mary and the Church - carry on the hope that is Christ, they give us Christ, they bring forth Christ in us. Without Mary, there would be no Jesus Christ; without the Church, we cannot go forward".
Jesus has been demoted to third place behind 'mother' Mary and the 'Holy Mother Church', the Roman Catholic Church. The bible says, however that the "blessed hope" of the Christian is "the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." Scripture never mentions Mary one time as being the hope of anyone or anything. But if you're a Catholic Francis says that " today we can go forward with a hope: the hope that our Mother Mary, steadfast at the Cross, and our Holy Mother, the hierarchical Church, give us."
The position and title that Pope Francis has bestowed on Mary is, by his own words, equal or greater than that of the 2nd part of the Trinity, Jesus Christ. And though he has yet to use the words, he has effectually already placed her status firmly at the Godhead level.
Interesting thing, in the book of Revelation and speaking of the Roman Catholic Church, the apostle John writes this about that 'holy mother church':
"And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her foreheadwas a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration."Revelation 17:4-6
And that's what God thinks of the "holy Roman Mother Church".

The Inside Scoop on Vatican/Israeli PEACE by Insider Barry Chamish

Barry is a friend of mine and a world famous writer. It was inevitable that I would run into him, considering my interest in biblical prophecy, Israel and the Vatican. Over the past few years he has led me to an incredible 'insider' understanding of many complex issues which I would never have discovered on my own - The Complete Truth. He is, after all, a real insider of many years, and also a real truth seeker with a kind and loving heart. Love ya, Barry. CMR

POPE TO GIVE FINAL MARCHING ORDERS TO PRESIDENT PERES
                                                       by Barry Chamish

The Pope flew to Israel on a defamation tour in late May, '14. President Peres organized the tour in April, '13 when he promised the Italian media that "99% of the issues regarding the Israeli handover of the Last Supper Room to the Vatican have been resolved."  It was that last 1% that stopped the turnover which led to the pope's slanderous visit. He stopped first in Jordan where he set the tone for the rest of the visit by equating Israelis with Syrians, who have murdered 160,000 citizens and made refugees of almost two million in just a few years of civil war.

Then it was a brief helicopter ride to Bethelem where:
The pope also paused for several moments in front of a graffiti on the security wall in Bethlehem, bowing his head in prayer in front of a message proclaiming, "Pope we need to see someone to speak about justice. Bethlehem look like Warsaw ghetto. Free Palestine."

Like this ugly publicity stunt wasn't planned. Vicious clergymen acting as advance info gatherers staked the wall and found the perfect graffiti for an international photo-op...if they didn't write the message themselves.

Somehow, the angry Israeli reaction to the "incompetent" pope smothered the only big story of the trip:
Pope Francis invited both Abbas and Israeli President Shimon Peres on Sunday to his home in the Vatican for a "heartfelt prayer" for peace.
"I wish to invite you, president Mahmud Abbas, together with President Shimon Peres, to join me in heartfelt prayer to God for the gift of peace," he said at the end of an open-air mass in Manger Square in Bethlehem.
"I offer my home in the Vatican as a place for this encounter of prayer," he said. "Building peace is difficult, but living without peace is a constant torment. The men and women of these lands, and of the entire world, all of them, ask us to bring before God their fervent hopes for peace."

Peres, according to Leah Rabin in her autobiography, was educated in a Jesuit school in Poland. The underhistory only gets worse. Jesuit Pope Francis commemorates the Franciscan Order, which along with the Benedictines, organized Operation Paperclip in the late '40s to hide over 100,000 Nazis in their seminaries, give them new identities, and ship them to freedom largely in South America. The Vatican saved the Nazis, while Israel is its lengthening history has convicted only one nazi in its courts.
Perhaps, given what has been done to them in living memory, we can explain the utter lack of reasoning among the Jews, even at their highest levels. Look at this wacky reportage of a publicized incident of the papal tour by the editor of The Jerusalem Post:

In one of his blander pronouncements during the papal visit, Netanyahu mentioned on Monday that Jesus spoke Hebrew. There was nothing incorrect about Netanyahu’s statement. Jesus was after all, an Israeli Jew.
But Francis couldn’t take the truth. So he indelicately interrupted his host, interjecting, “Aramaic.”
Netanyahu was probably flustered. True, at the time, educated Jews spoke and wrote in Aramaic. And Jesus was educated. But the language of the people was Hebrew. And Jesus preached to the people, in Hebrew.

This is so wrong, it borders on total delusion. Educated Jews spoke Hebrew in religious ceremonies but Aramaic was the common language of Israeli Jews at the time of Jesus. Creating false history has made Jews accessories to their own recent disasters. Peres, who has never sincerely prayed to any G-d known to the Jews, is not going to the Vatican to pray with any pope. Time is running out, Peres didn't deliver the Vatican their "properties," and he is going to Rome to get his final marching orders.
The Jewish "analysts" won't or can't be honest about their own recent history. In the mid-90s I co-edited a pre-internet newsletter called Inside Israel with Joel Bainerman. My buddy Lenny Wolfe was a close friend of Ron Pundak. He asked me if I'd like to meet him. Within two days Joel, me and Pundak were meeting in a Tel Aviv coffeehouse. Pundak was boasting and by being effusive, he spilled the beans on Oslo, peace and Peres.
To summarize real history: In September, 1993 at Kennebunkport, MA, outgoing American President George Bush, ordered incoming Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin to begin negotiations to bring the PLO to Israel in the name of "peace," knowing it would instead usher in an era of terrorism. Rabin despised his Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, so assigned the "diplomatic" task to Deputy Foreign Minister Yossi Beilin behind Peres' back. Beilin sent two wacky Tel Aviv "idealists," Ron Pundak and Yair Hirshfeld, to Oslo to negotiate the Oslo "peace accord." I got the ugly scoop of Oslo from Ron Pundak. Peres found out about their mission and his exclusion in the spring of '93. Knowing this Oslo peace was the only game in town, he sent Marek Halter to the pope with a letter offering Jerusalem as a prize for insinuating the Vatican in the "peace process."
In November of '93, the Oslo accord was signed, adjudicated by Beilin. Two weeks later, in December of '93, the Vatican Accord recognizing Israel, adjudicated by Beilin, was signed. Oslo and Vatican were the one and the same "peace accords." How did Vatican spy, current President Peres, react to the "peace?"

'Peres wants to yield sites to Vatican'

President Shimon hand over Israeli Peres is willing to sovereignty of key Christian holy sites to the Vatican, a proposition that is reportedly opposed by Interior Minister Eli Yishai and that has ruffled feathers among other senior government officials, Army Radio reported on Monday.
According to the radio report, the president is exerting pressure on the government to give up sovereignty over six sites, including the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth, the Coenaculum on Mount Zion, Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, and the Church of the Multiplication on the Kinneret.

Read on. By early '95 Rabin opposed Peres and his Vatican handover agenda. For that Peres organized his murder...with Vatican oversight.

The Vatican's Jerusalem Agenda
By Barry Chamish

Mon Sep 22 1997

Did Shimon Peres make a deal with the Vatican?
Consider the evidence:
  • On Sept. 10, '93, just three days before the signing of the Declaration of Principles in Washington, the Italian news magazine La Stampa reported that part of the peace deal was an unwritten understanding that the Vatican would receive political authority over the Old City of Jerusalem by the end of the millenium. The newspaper reported that Shimon Peres had promised the pope to hand over the holy sites of Jerusalem the previous May and that Arafat had accepted the agreement.
  • In March '94, the Israeli newsmagazine Shishi published an interview with Mark Halter, a French intellectual and close friend of Shimon Peres. He said he delivered a letter from Peres to the Pope the previous May, within which Peres offered the Vatican hegemony over the Old City of Jerusalem. The article detailed Peres's offer which essentially turned Jerusalem into an international city overseen by the Holy See.
  • In March '95, the radio station Arutz Sheva announced that it had seen a cable sent by the Israeli Embassy in Rome to the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem outlining the handover of the Old City of Jerusalem to the Vatican. Two days later Haaretz published the cable on its front page. The Foreign Ministry explained that the cable was genuine but someone had whited out the word "not." ie We will not transfer authority to the Vatican. Incredibly, numerous Bnei Brak rabbis who had cancelled Passover meetings with Peres over the issue of the cable accepted the explanation and reinvited him to their homes.
The Foreign Ministry's Legal Affairs Spokesperson, Esther Samilag, publicly complained about "various capitulations" to the Vatican. She was immediately transferred to a post at the Israeli Embassy in Katmandu, Nepal.
MK Avraham Shapira announced in the Knesset that he had information that all Vatican property in Jerusalem was to become tax exempt and that large tracts of real estate on Mount Zion were given to the pope in perpetuity.
Jerusalem's late Deputy Mayor Shmuel Meir announced that he had received "information that properties promised to the Vatican would be granted extra-territorial status."
Beilin was forced to answer the accusations. He admitted, "Included in the Vatican Agreement is the issue of papal properties in Israel that will be resolved by a committee of experts that has already been formed." If so, this committee has not since released any proof of its existence.
With all this in mind, how do we interpret the Vatican's current position on Jerusalem?
The following report, circulated by MSANews may shed some light on that:
Vatican City, Jun 14, 1997 (VIS) - Archbishop Renato Martino, apostolic nuncio and Holy See permanent observer to the United Nations, spoke June 9 on the status of Jerusalem at the New York headquarters of the Path to Peace Foundation. The archbishop addressed members of this foundation as well as U.S. members of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He began by briefly summarizing the "well-known and long-standing position of the Holy See with regard to Jerusalem. He stated that Jerusalem "for us, of course, along with the rest of the Holy Land, is that special link between heaven and earth, that place where God walked and ultimately died among men. And of course we recognize that others revere Jerusalem as the city of David and the prophets and the city known to Mohammed.... It is a spiritual treasure for all of humanity, and it is a city of two peoples, Arabs and Jews, and of the three monotheistic religions, Christianity, Judaism and Islam." Archbishop Martino added that "in recent years it has been increasingly difficult to break through the political and media-imposed stranglehold on the question of Jerusalem." he recounted Jerusalem's recent history, recalling in particular the UN's General Assembly Resolution 181 of 1947 calling for Jerusalem to be considered a 'corpus separatum' under the Trusteeship Council of the United Nations," a resolution which Israel accepted. He pointed out that, in addressing the gridlock which has resulted from the 1967 Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem, "the Holy See has therefore advocated the granting to Jerusalem of an 'internationally guaranteed special statute. That is the phrase used by Pope John Paul II in his 1984 Apostolic Letter 'Redemption is Anno'."
This statute "asks that regardless of how the problem of sovereignty is resolved and who is called to exercise it, there should be a supra-national and international entity endowed with means adequate to insure the preservation of the special characteristics of the City, its Holy Places, the freedom to visit them, its religious and ethnic communities, a guarantee of their essential liberties, and its city plan'."
The apostolic nuncio recalled the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Israel in 1993, when both signed the 'Fundamental Agreement." He noted Article 4 of this agreement where "both the Holy See and Israel affirm their continuing commitment to the 'Status quo' in the Christian Holy Places."
He also spoke of the problems sparked by Israel's recent authorization of "a project for the construction of settlements in occupied territory in East Jerusalem" for which "there was wide-spread international condemnation." This issue, he reminded those present, was brought before the UN Security Council on March 7 and March 21 of this year, but without resolution "because the sole country on the Security Council which opposed the Resolution was the United States."
An Emergency Session of the General Assembly, "organized only nine other times in the history of the United Nations" was held on April 24-25. The Holy See delegation was contacted and asked for suggestions for a Resolution, Archbishop Martino said. And he recounted the meetings, rough drafts of proposals and negotiations which followed.
The approved texts of the eventual Resolution, he underlined, contained "those points championed by the Holy See.... The General Assembly has here called for 'internationally guaranteed provisions' - the equivalent of the 'internationally guaranteed special status' called for by Pope John Paul II. This is particularly noteworthy because in this case, the Arab delegations all voted for this Resolution and therefore for this provision."
"The Holy Places within Jerusalem," concluded Archbishop Martino, "are not merely museum relics to be opened and closed by the dominant political authority, no matter who that might be at any given moment. They are living shrines precious to the hearts and faith of believers." DELSS/STATUS JERUSALEM/UN:MARTINO VIS 970616 (640)
Could that supra-national entity which will oversee the international city of Jerusalem be the Vatican just as Peres promised? And how do we react to Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Olmert's recent announcement that he will begin negotiations with the Vatican, but "only over holy sites?"

Francis, Jesuits, Vatican and Catholic Church Being Tried For CHILD GENOCIDE

email: creyner@yahoo.com

I always hate it when I'm on the same side as the Dark. However, as God hones in on the end of the age and uses the Dark players to bring his intentions to fruition .. well, that's going to be happening more often. It's critical in these times that we know and understand the will of the LORD - and make our stand squarely with His intentions. Too often we are in danger of praying against God's will, and for what we personally desire to happen. These days it's critical that we seek His Will, and back His side. Since the entire Roman religious regime (Mystery Babylon, IMO) is prophesied to come to ruin, it seems clear that this harlot machine is intended to be brought down, and eventually, its counterpart, the apostate Protestant church harlot will follow suit.

But first, Satan plans to use these institutions for his own purposes through deception and counterfeit of course. They are fit vessels, perfect cutouts, for the new antichrist church. Everything is in place, with infrastructure, money, religiousity and PEOPLE! Just drop in a few Luciferian essentials, another 'Jesus', a counterfeit false prophet, many signs and wonders, and mix.

The old evil leaders must be brought down, and it must be made to look as though the Church will be reformed and these wicked leaders replaced. By whom, you ask? By Satan's players who are standing in the wings ready to play their most important roles: to bring the Church back to love, peace, purity - and above all - UNITY (stir in the bulk of the evil Protestant Harlot Church). When all are brought under the umbrella of unity - then they will marshall all of their mighty force, including "Joel's Army", against .... US. The true church (as long as we are still here).

Or some version of the above. Since things have consistently gone stunningly bad for the Other Team, if that continues the plan may be altered here and there with rehabilitations or other deceptions. But as of now this is looking like the way it's going down.  (Do you suppose the ridiculous and cruel hulabaloo about Flight #370 is to detract our attention from this and many other things?)

Pope Francis Taking Church Into "New Era"

Well, we're off and running .... Click on title below for original article and over 200 fascinating comments at the end of the article

Church entering ‘new era’ under Pope Francis, top papal adviser says

By on Thursday, 23 January 2014
Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga of Tegucigalpa (CNS)
Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga of Tegucigalpa (CNS)

The cardinal who heads Pope Francis’ Council of Cardinals said the Catholic Church is entering a “new era” and accused critics of the Pope’s statements on economic injustice of failing to “understand reality.”

Honduran Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga of Tegucigalpa in an interview with Germany’s Cologne-based Kolner Stadt-Anzeiger said:”I’m firmly convinced we are at the dawn of a new era in the church, just as when Pope John XXIII opened its windows 50 years and made it let in fresh air.
“Francis wants to lead the church in the same direction that he himself is moved by the Holy Spirit. This means closer to the people, not enthroned above them, but alive in them,” said the cardinal, who leads the council appointed by Pope Francis to work on reform in the Roman Curia and advise him on church governance.

In addition, Cardinal Rodriguez Maradiaga said, the Pope favored “above all, a simpler life and leadership” from priests and bishops in line with the “sometimes forgotten message of Jesus,” and believed they should go out to people, rather than “sitting in our administrative offices and waiting for people to come.”

He said most Catholics were “behind the Pope” and added that he believed Cardinal-designate Gerhard L Müller, prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, could be less absolute in his defense of authority in the church.

“I understand it. He’s German and a German professor of theology on top of it. In his mentality, there is only right or wrong, that’s it,” said Cardinal Rodriguez Maradiaga.

“But I say: The world, my brother, isn’t like that. You should be slightly flexible when you hear other voices, instead of just listening and saying, no, here this is the wall. I believe he’ll get there, and understand other views. But for now he’s still only at the beginning.”

The cardinal’s remarks follow recent criticisms of Cardinal-designate Müller, formerly bishop of Regensburg, Germany, for what some bishops and cardinals see as an overly rigid stance on church teaching in some areas.

The archbishop was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI to head the doctrinal congregation in July 2012 and named a cardinal by Pope Francis January 12.

Speaking on January 21 at a Catholic university symposium in Venice, Cardinal Rodriguez Maradiaga said he believed church life should not be “so much concentrated on the pope and his Curia.” He said the Pope’s November apostolic exhortation, “Evangelii Gaudium” (“The Joy of the Gospel”), did not, “contrary to superficial interpretations, contain any instructions for a change of direction or revolution.”

However, in the interview, Cardinal Rodriguez Maradiaga said the Pope’s priority was that the church should “reach the common people,” and show compassion through “a different kind of care for the world, especially the needy.”

He added that there had been “a lot of shouting” against the Pope’s “critique of capitalism” in “Evangelii Gaudium,” especially in “U.S. business circles” who did not “understand reality.”
“Who says capitalism is perfect, especially since the recent financial market crisis?” the cardinal said.
“This crisis didn’t hit the poor, but rich America and rich Europe, and it wasn’t the invention of liberation theology or the result of the ‘option for the poor.’ When no one criticizes capitalism, this is something false,” he said.

Asked about calls for the Church to change its attitude to divorced and remarried Catholics, Cardinal Rodriguez Maradiaga said the church was “bound by God’s commandment” that “what God has joined together, man must not divide.”

However, he explained that there were “many ways to interpret” the commandment, and “still much room for a deeper interpretation” without reversing the teaching.
The cardinal said an October Synod of Bishops on the family would tackle new social issues such as surrogate parenthood, childless marriages and same-sex partnerships which were “not even visible on the horizon” at the last family synod in 1980.

“We have the traditional doctrine, and, of course, the traditional teaching will continue,” Cardinal Rodriquez Maradiaga said.

“But pastoral challenges require timely answers. They can’t any longer come from authoritarianism and moralism.”

He said the cardinals who elected Pope Francis in March knew that “much had to change in the church.”

He added that changes now “high on the agenda” included plans to make the Synod of Bishops a “useful and powerful tool of collegial leadership,” rather than a body “meeting in Rome every three years,” and the creation of a new Congregation for the Laity to reflect the fact that laity “constitute the vast majority of God’s people.”

A new constitution for the Curia also was planned, the cardinal said. It would replace Pope John Paul II’s 1988 apostolic constitution, “Pastor Bonus,” on the structure and responsibilities of the Curia. The cardinal promised it would be “something completely new, not just a modification or adaptation.”

“There are plenty of staff in the Curia who agree it cannot stay as it is and are supporting us with their own proposals. The Curia is by no means a monolithic bloc,” he said.

Pope Francis Head of Marian Death Cult

Pope Francis confirmed head of Marian death cult

by ivarfjeld
Pope Francis continued a tradition of venerating a statue of the "Blessed Mother" in Rome.
Under his visit to Brazil, the Pope carried the black Brazilian version of The Queen of heaven.
Under his visit to Brazil, the Pope carried the black Brazilian version of The Queen of heaven.
The statue, located in the famed Piazza di Spagna, was consecrated in 1857, several years after the adoption of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception. Tens of thousands of faithful gathered for the celebration.
Prior to the recitation of a Marian prayer by the Holy Father, a reading from the book of Revelation was read, which describes the Virgin Mary as “a woman clothed with the sun with the moon beneath her feet and around her head a crown of twelve stars.”
“Holy and Immaculate Virgin, to You, the honor of our people and caring guardian of our city, we turn with confidence and love,” the Holy Father said beginning his prayer.

“Awaken in us all a renewed desire for holiness: in our word shine forth the splendor of truth, in our works resound the hymn of charity, in our body and in our hearts dwell purity and chastity, in our life may the beauty of the Gospel always be present.”

The Holy Father went on to pray that the Blessed Mother’s intercession allow us to be attentive to the poor, the sick, the children and every human life.

My comment:
The Bible says we should only go through Jesus the Messiah when we approach the divine authority in heaven.
For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.
The Pope sets the Bible aside, and put him self above the Word of God. He proclaim that we can ask 'The mother of God" to be our mediator in Heaven.
Absolutely, not required. And even worse. Prayers to the claimed Roman Catholic"Queen of heaven" is a pagan practice that pre dates the birth of Jesus, and is banned in the book of Jeremiah.
The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes to offer to the Queen of Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to arouse my anger.
The Pope leads all Roman Catholics to become mockers of God of the Bible. To pray to Father God in any other name than Jesus, is nothing but sin and blasphemy.
They say to wood, “You are my father,” and to stone, “You gave me birth.” They have turned their backs to me and not their faces; yet when they are in trouble, they say, “Come and save us!”
This is the truth. Repent or perish.

Francis To Make Major Vatican Changes - Last Pope?

Secret Document Reveals Pope Francis About To Make Major Vatican Changes

Tuesday, November 5, 2013 15:05

The Rise of Petrus Romanus

For more than 800 years, scholars have pointed to a prophecy regarding “the last pope,” and of a “great apostasy” and even the destruction of Rome. Taken from St. Malachy’s “Prophecy of the Popes,” it includes a list of verses predicting each of the Roman Catholic popes from Pope Celestine II to the final pope, “Peter the Roman,” whose reign would end in the destruction of Rome.

Enter Francis. More than any other Pope now living, Pope Francis is a change agent who people say is the last pope the Catholic Church will ever see. Only in office a very short time and already he has discussed letting priests marry, atheists going to Heaven, a proposed alliance with Islam, and a broad unification off all the earth’s religions. I don’t know about you, but that’s a pope with an overflowing agenda and one who is looking to get something done as quickly as possible.

Could he be the last pope? It’s quite possible.

Vatican City (AFP) – The Vatican on Tuesday launched an unprecedented worldwide consultation on modern families including same-sex couples as part of Pope Francis’s drive to reform the Catholic Church.

A questionnaire has been sent to bishops around the world asking them for detailed information about the “many new situations requiring the Church’s attention and pastoral care”.
“Concerns which were unheard of until a few years ago have arisen today as a result of different situations, from the widespread practice of cohabitation… to same-sex unions,” it said.

Religious watchers said the 39 questions were unusual because of their non-judgemental, practical nature in what could be a signal of greater openness and increased pastoral care regardless of a believer’s background.

Referring to gay couples, one questions asks: “What pastoral attention can be given to people who have chosen to live in these types of union?”

“In the case of unions of persons of the same sex who have adopted children, what can be done pastorally in light of transmitting the faith?”

On remarried divorcees, who under the current rules are not allowed to receive Holy Communion in a Catholic church, the questionnaire asks: “Do they feel marginalised or suffer from the impossibility of receiving the sacraments?”

On divorce and separated couples in general, it asks: “How do you deal with this situation in appropriate pastoral programmes?”

The initiative is part of preparations for a synod of bishops next year and another in 2015 that the Vatican said will formulate “working guidelines in the pastoral care of the person and the family”.
Lorenzo Baldisseri, head of the synod of bishops, told reporters that the meeting’s theme “reflects very well the pastoral zeal with which the Holy Father wishes to approach the proclamation of the Gospel to the family in today’s world”.

He said the consultation also showed Francis, who has said the Catholic Church is too “Vatican-centric”, wanted more “collegiality”.
Cardinal Peter Erdo, president of the Council of the Bishops’ Conferences of Europe, referred in particular to the increase in cohabiting Catholic couples who do not intend to marry, saying “the phenomenon requires a deepened reflection.”

Archbishop Bruno Forte, special secretary of the synod, said “the Church has to better its understanding, it is not a static body. We do not have the answers ready, but we cannot behave like an ostrich, with its head in the sand.”

NOW THE END BEGINS - End Times Bible Prophecy
Vatican expert Marco Politi, who writes for the Italian weekly L’Espresso, told AFP that “it is hugely significant that the Church, instead of presenting its ‘truth’ on families, civil unions and homosexuality from on high, wants to hear about the experience of the local faithful.”

“What’s interesting is how bishops are going about gathering the information. Some bishops are taking Francis’s drive further forward, while others are putting on the brakes,” he said.

In England, for example, the questionnaire is available online so individuals can express their opinions directly, while bishops elsewhere “believe their role is to filter the answers”, he added.
Francis has said priests should baptise children even when the parents are not married and, when asked recently about his views on gays, he replied: “If someone is gay and seeks the Lord with good will, who am I to judge?” source – Yahoo News

Pope: Efforts to Convert People to Christianity “Solemn Nonsense.”

                      * Read online for video viewing & lots of resources *

Thursday, October 3, 2013

Pope Francis cranked up his charm offensive on the world outside the Vatican on Tuesday, saying in the second widely shared media interview in two weeks that each person “must choose to follow the good and fight evil as he conceives them” and calling efforts to convert people to Christianity “solemn nonsense.”

The Vatican’s head seemed intent on distancing himself from its power, saying church leaders “have often been narcissists” and “clericalism should not have anything to do with Christianity.”

The interview with atheist Italian journalist Eugenio Scalfari set off another round of debate about what the pope meant: Was he saying that people can make up their own minds, even if they disagree with church teachings? Or was this self-described “son of the church” just using casual language to describe classic church teaching about how people need to come to Catholic doctrine of their free will?

A top official with the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest Protestant denomination in the United States, took the unprecedented step of rebuking Francis, writing that the pope’s interview was “a theological wreck” and that Francis was dabbling dangerously in relativism.

“What these interviews seem continually to do is what evangelical theologian Carl Henry warned Protestants of in the 20th century, of severing the love of God from the holiness of God,” wrote the Rev.
