A Study of Matthew 24 & The Rapture

He's on You Tube - you don't hear preaching like that anymore. What a shame.

Two in the Field: One Taken and One Left: (A Study In Matthew 24) by Dr. Joseph Chambers

Have you considered someone, say a young lady, in the hands of one of the antiChrist brigades forcing her to take the Mark of the Beast?

This beast of a man will hold up the mark and promise liberty if she will submit. But she knows better and keeps refusing. This homosexual beast then rapes, sodomizes, and treats her with his great scorn. Finally he tells her she will never leave his presence alive without the Mark. She knows to submit is eternal hell but she is at the point of insanity. Is she capable of enduring the ultimate rage of this homosexual beast or must she submit? This is a very light picture of the hell that awaits anyone missing the Rapture.

The Son of Man never spoke with more authority or with greater prophetic beauty than as recorded in St. Matthews’ chapter 24. He clearly outlined a series of end time events and the depth of the impact that would occur. His disciples had asked Him a three-part question and He answered those questions giving vivid details. In the process He gave complete authentication to the Book of Daniel in the First Testament and placed the seventh week of Daniel dramatically at the end of the church dispensation. This chapter in the Bible is clearly one that every saint of God should understand and quote often. It is potent truth. Do not expect a chronological order as you read this chapter because it was not given as one would write a book.

The Book of Revelation was given to John in a book form and he was told to write it as such. “Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.” (Revelation 1:19) He was even told the order in which to write it because our Lord was giving him a chronological picture. The Book of Revelation is the summing up of all the different eschatological (future) teachings in the Holy Bible.

The book of Matthew was an oral teaching that Matthew wrote down some years after it was spoken. The Lord Jesus answered three questions and literally discussed the signs that would occur leading up to the end. He also talked about the great Seven Year Tribulation, His Second Coming to earth, and the gathering of Israel at that time. After painting a rather bleak picture, He then began to talk about the mystery of the Rapture and the faithful servants that would be blessed to escape the dark hellish Tribulation.

One of the reasons that the book of Matthew is often grossly misinterpreted is the order in which it was given. The Lord was having a casual conversation with His disciples. He was the Master Teacher and after giving them a picture of things which were going to occur, He then spoke personally about their hope and the promise to His saints that they were not to be judged with the wicked. That is the clear reason why the idea of the Rapture was discussed after He told them of the Tribulation. Surely any minister that preaches a sermon about future things will end by telling the people how to make sure they escape.

Let’s put this great chapter in a kind of chronological order to help all of us understand. Jesus ends this great lesson to His disciples by giving them a warning mixed with assurance of escape. He stated, “But of that day and hour (Notice how clearly He set this portion of the lesson apart from the teachings He had already given.) knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” (Matthew 24:36-44)

The ending verse in this section settles forever that the hope of the saints is to be those that escape when He comes. Verse 42 says, “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” (Matthew 24:42), while verse 44 warns, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” (Matthew 24:44) I have heard the erroneous idea that this is not the Rapture at all, but the wicked that are removed and the saints are left. Why did He say then, “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” (Matthew 24:42) Surely, no one believed the Lord is coming to get the wicked to carry away with Himself and the saints to be left here for the judgment to come.

Comparing Noah’s day with the day of the Rapture is wonderful support for the subject He was teaching. The spirit of Noah’s day was sinful and careless living; and Jesus stated the same would be true of this promised occasion. This line of thinking fits no other event that relates to the end of the world. The wickedness that characterizes the Tribulation Period is far greater and described with totally different language. They cannot be seen as dealing with the same period.

The language of “two” people being in a given place with one taken and one left would have no significance if it was not speaking about the Rapture of the righteous. It certainly would have no bearing on the kind of alert and careful living He was seeking to promote among His disciples. To use this kind of thought outside the context of the Lord’s coming to get His own bride would sound ridiculous. Twisting the Lord’s lesson of truth about the end is carelessly treated when men make unclear arguments out of such a simple, straightforward statement. Jesus meant exactly what He said.

The last seven verses of this chapter follow perfectly the above understanding. Once He establishes this great warning of the sudden Rapture to get the overcoming saints, He speaks clearly about them as faithful wise servants. Look at His words, “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 24:45-51)

It is foolish to try and connect these words to any other idea but the Rapture. Notice, “Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.” Our modern theology has so watered down the requirements for the Rapture that it is no wonder that they want to deny the Rapture in this context of verses. Anything with a religious label is being treated as Rapture ready material. These verses destroy such nonsense. The saint of God that meets the Lord in the air, the one taken in the presence of one left, is holy language warning this untoward generation to return to the cross and the crucifixion of the flesh. If we do not, we shall join the “left” crowd on that awesome day.

The Signs Of The End

Now, if we clearly understand the last portion of this chapter (verses 36-51) as a kind of separated and closing warning, then the first part of this great text can be clearly placed in focus. The master Teacher had told of dark things, but His deep concern was His disciples and all future saints. We must always understand the sinister acts of men and Satan will be followed by the victory of His kingdom and His chosen ones. That is exactly how He ended this chapter.

As He begins the lesson following the disciple’s question, He first dealt with the signs of impending wickedness. Read carefully His words, “And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” (Matthew 24:4-14)

Any simple interpretation and historical insight will confirm every one of these signs from that day to this. The significant things are the escalating of each of them. Whether it is wars and rumors of wars or nations against nations, they have increased in both frequency and scale of destruction. Since the 20th Century began, each war has brought a new level of destruction and terror. At present there are enough “germ warfare materials” in storage to wipe off every human being from planet earth. When you multiply that by “nuclear armaments” and other modern technologies, our world has become a powder keg.

A simple look at what the nation of Russia and her close allies have ready for employment is scary beyond description. Add to that modern China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, and a few other large or third world nations and our future looks bleak. Jesus was giving us a picture to watch as time progressed toward the countdown hour.

Now, move to the idea of false teachers and prophets deceiving men. Jesus clearly stated, “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Matthew 24:5) This statement is quite revealing. He is clearly saying that false prophets will come in His name saying that He is Christ, but will be deceiving the people at the same time. The Catholic Church has been doing this since the third century, but never has the Protestant world been so totally inundated with this kind of deception. The day has come that the evangelical world is almost as deceiving and apostate as the Harlot of Rome.

Every verse in this section is a picture of escalating evidence. Famines and earthquakes are increasing with fury. Pestilences or infectious diseases are encircling the globe. The horror stories about AIDS are the modern black plague. “Road Rage” alone describes the following verse, “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.” (Matthew 24:10) This doesn’t even count the rest of the story.

Jesus certainly gives a different picture of this closing hour than most ministers are determined to preach. Almost every minister I research is talking about a great revival before the Lord comes. Good men that are clearly preaching the gospel have accepted some kind of dream of a latter rain outpouring and a worldwide harvest. The Lord gives a different sense when He said, “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” (Matthew 24:11-13)

I am committed to doing everything possible for the harvest, but it will be “showers of blessings” in the midst of “torrential religious deception.” It will not be what most are prophesying.

One sure promise concludes this list of signs. “The gospel will never be silenced.” Right down until the end our Lord will have a remnant that preaches and teaches truth in the midst of deadly enemies and angry truth haters. He promised that no man could take away the truth from the World. “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” (Matthew 24:14)

Jesus said it again to the Rapture ready church of Philadelphia. “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.” (Revelation 3:8)

The Unparalleled “Seven Years”

The signs that we have just read are “God-given evidences” that the world is progressing toward utter moral and spiritual bankruptcy. The signs are sure proof that God must judge the world and redeem the cosmos before His Second Coming to establish His kingdom. In the Rapture He comes only as far down as the midair and we are caught up to meet Him; but when the Tribulation Period is complete, the world will be ready to receive Him in all His holiness and splendor.

As Jesus spoke of this period of worldwide tribulation, He begins His explanation in the middle of the seven years. The “Abomination of Desolation” is a Daniel term that sets a “seven year period” as the final judgment of a wicked world. Jesus then describes this period as “unparalleled” in all of human history. Please read these words of our Lord carefully. “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.” (Matthew 24:15-26)

Jesus was Jewish and spoke in Jewish terminology. You see that in verse 20. “But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day.” (Matthew 24:20) It is clear that this period is shattering to the entire world. Notice again these words. “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” (Matthew 24:21-22)

This is not persecution that all of us endure and which will continue to escalate. This is tribulation or the “Act of God’s Judgment.” Please understand the difference between “persecution” and “tribulation.” “Persecution” is the lot of every saint of God. “Tribulation” is God’s divine redemption of the world system and the cleansing of the very earth, atmosphere, and human domain. Holiness will become the character of the culture over which the Lord Jesus Himself shall reign with His saints.

One of the most dangerous things about this period of judgment is the constant presence of an antiChrist person claiming to be the real Son of God. This is the very essence of what this period will represent. The devil will sit in the churches claiming to be God and will be worshipped as the same. No wonder Jesus said, “Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.” (Matthew 24:23-26)

The most sinister thing about the period just before the Rapture and during the Seven Years is the presence of deception so false and so real that it is almost impossible to discern. The Unholy Trinity, as seen in Revelation 12 and 13, will accomplish their greatest hours of masquerade.

Suddenly The King Returns In His Glory

While this masquerade of Satan, his antiChrist, and anti-spirit are at their zenith of power and deception, the wrath of God will reach its fullness. Suddenly, “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:27). This is not His Rapture of the saints, but His return in the glory of His coming kingdom. Read the following as Jesus now describes His return to establish His kingdom. “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” (Matthew 24:29-35) What a picture!

This part of the discussion between Jesus and His disciples was probably the centerpiece of this conversation. They had believed that Jesus came to set up His kingdom and this idea was still misunderstood even after His resurrection. In these words they hear the kind of assurance from Him that their questions were really all about. These disciples wanted to know about the “end” and “His Coming” to reign on this earth. Everything else in this chapter is incidental to the establishing of His kingdom on this earth, which would fulfill the Hope of Israel.

Imagine the following intriguing words of this piece of the conversation and the lesson that Jesus taught them. “And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:31) That statement is totally for the Jewish. When He defeats the antiChrist army and secures the peace of Jerusalem, He will send His angels to gather the Jews still dispersed around the world and they will be redeemed as a nation. Many people try to make this chapter either all for the Jewish or all for the Gentile. It is neither, but it is all-inclusive for the Jews and Gentiles.

At this point the Jewish nation will be saved and reign in the Promise Land as the Lord promised to Abraham and David. From Jerusalem they will bless the world and share in leading the world to the Glory of God intended in the beginning.

The Bride of Christ from His church will rule the world (excluding Jerusalem and the Land of Promise) and reign as kings and priests. The entire cosmos will have the character of His holiness and the cultures of each nation will be redeemed.

Conclusion

This chapter is all about the end and His coming to reign in His kingdom. Jesus did not intend to give it as He did the Book of Revelation. It was intended to be encouraging to His disciples and to assure them that His death was not the end. He would return to reign with them on this earth. It is no wonder that Matthew 24 has always been a centerpiece in any discussion about eschatology. It is controversial because different theological systems have different ideas to try to prove. When all the arguments are silent and we read this great discussion between Jesus and His disciples at face value and in context with the rest of the Gospels, it is extremely clear and easy to understand.

Remember these simple things:

The Rapture stands alone in Scripture. Nothing must occur to pre-date the catching away of His saints. He talks about the Rapture at the end of the chapter because of these very facts and as a point of hope in the midst of everything that will soon happen. There is no reason to be gloomy, because at the appointed time the Lord of the church will call for His chosen.

The signs of the end are not connected to the Rapture because no sign is necessary for Him to come. The signs pre-date the Tribulation and His Second Coming to reign on earth, not to Rapture His saints.

• The glorious Hope of Israel and her future glory is His coming to reign in Jerusalem. That was the central idea these disciples needed to hear and the center of this time of conversation together.

The Fury Of Hell Turned Loose On This Earth

Original article HERE

by Dr Joseph Chambers

This is one of the facts about the Great Tribulation that has been ignored!

Opening The Gates of Hell

The fourth seal in Revelation six states this clearly: “And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.” (Revelation 6: 7-8)

Please reread those words, “And Hell followed with him.”There is only one place named hell, and its inhabitants are part of this unleashing of horrible judgment on the earth. We will see this clearly in Revelation chapter nine.

Before the Gates of Hell

Before the Gates of Hells are opened, His saints will be removed and the sacred dead resurrected. Our God has never judged the righteous with the wicked, so this dark period called the Day of the Lord cannot begin without His saints being safe in His secret place. The bride and all the hosts of saints from six thousand years will be well beyond the reach of Satan and his vicious horde. The earth and its atmospheric sphere will be the scene of unfettered wickedness. Satan will be allowed to act almost without limitation until he has finished his last rampage.

The four horses and their riders in Revelation six present the first pictures of what is in store for the earth and its inhabitants. These horses and occupants clearly show us that nothing is normal any longer but that our world is in for a rough ride. A white horse, a red horse, a black horse, and a pale horse are all delivering a woeful picture of this world gone berserk. Nothing about this world will ever be normal again. Some voices have suggested that the first three and one-half years would be great peace and prosperity, but I thoroughly disagree. These four horsemen suggest the exact opposite. The seven years begin with these horses and their riders, and nothing about this picture is peaceful or prosperous. This is one of the main reasons to disprove the mid-Tribulation doctrine of the Firstfruits Rapture. The Lord is not going to leave His Bride here to suffer the effect of these horsemen.

The first horseman is a conqueror and it certainly is not a peaceful takeover. The second horseman takes peace from the earth and hatred and slaughter results. The third horseman is black and famines engulf the world, while the fourth horse is pale and its rider is called Death and Hell (so much for three and one-half years of peace and prosperity). The fifth seal is a picture of a multitude of people who have already been slain by the Antichrist because they embraced Jesus Christ and His Word in the face of having missed the Rapture. By the time the sixth seal is opened, the world is fleeing for a hiding place because the wrath of God has exploded in the world. I believe that by this time in the seven years every living soul will know that the great God of the Bible, the Father of Jesus Christ, is indeed the one and only true God.

“And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Revelation 6:12-17)

Invasion From Below

The seventh seal was opened and there followed this seal, seven angels with seven trumpets. Everything that is occurring originates in Heaven where Jesus Christ Himself, along with His sainted elders, is directing the events. At the same time all of it is affecting the earth, the atmosphere above, and the world of hell beneath. It’s almost as if there is no separation between Heaven, the earth, and beneath the earth. The activity of the saintly elders and the heavenly host are clearly unhindered in movement between these three spheres of God’s universe. Satan has been cast down with his fallen angels, and they are certainly limited to the earth and beneath the earth.

The earth is about to get a picture of Satan’s real kingdom. He has been a cockroach for 6,000 years, hiding in the dark and fleeing for cover. His cover is about to be blown and his time to hide behind human shields is ending. The world will see the real devil, not a masquerade behind an angelic facade.

First, we need to look at Joel’s prophecy of this future revelation. He wrote by the Holy Ghost, “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.” (Joel 2:1-3)

Can you believe that the Charismatic deceivers are calling this army, “saints, a new breed of saints,” establishing the kingdom of God on earth? The doctrine of Dominion Theology, a hybrid form of post-millennialism, left them with no choice but to twist this account into some kind of a “criticized army,” much like the “Catholic Crusaders” of the past. My friends, these are devils, demons out of Satan’s kingdom invading the earth. This picture in Joel chapter two is an Old Testament preview of Revelation chapter nine. When the gates of Hell are open, the earth will be turned into a wilderness.

The following activity of this army leaves no doubt to their purpose and character. “Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness. They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?” (Joel 2:6-11)

The same scene is vividly revealed in John’s Revelation received from Jesus Christ our Lord. “And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.” (Revelation 9:1-4) This army out of the bottomless pit is evil spirits, fallen angels that have been reserved in hell and prepared for this future dark hour. Jude stated, “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” (Jude 1:6) Apostle Peter also gave testimony concerning these fallen angels and their future, reserved for the Day of the Lord or judgment time on earth. “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.” (II Peter 2:4)

The fallen angels make up the entire world of evil spirits and the total host of Satan’s army. It is clear that this army is divided into two groups. One group, probably the largest, is free to roam with Satan and carry on his business. The other company, which has been bound because of dark despicable deeds, are awaiting judgment of this earth. The second group is comprised of those we see in Jude verse six, II Peter chapter two and verse four, and in Revelation chapter nine. These spirits are reserved for judgment and will be loosed on earth to vent their festered wrath on earth’s godless multitude.

Please remember that the kingdom of Satan will be in utter disarray. His fallen angels that rebelled with him will turn on the host of men and women who have given allegiance to him on earth. The creatures out of the bottomless pit cannot attack men, women, and children that have the seal of God in their forehead so they attack the rest of the population. Look at a deception of their powers to torment and work havoc. “And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.” (Revelation 9:5-7) The Tribulation Period is not going to be a free ride for the wicked. The wrath of God is manifest on one side and the anger and vented wrath of demons is manifest on the other side. It will literally be “hell on earth.”

The demons fit the developing character of our present world. They appear to be half-men and half-women and the male population of the earth and even the church is well on its way to fitting that mold. The Word of God says, “And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.” (Revelation 9:8) Notice their activities, “And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.” (Revelation 9:9-11) These are clearly demons, fallen angels under the leadership of a satanic lieutenant, named Abaddon or Apollyon. The name of this ruler of darkness as Apostle Paul called him is frightening in itself.

Immediately, the Holy Ghost issues a warning to the earth’s population, “One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.” (Revelation 9:12)

The Veil Between Heaven and Earth Is Disappearing

.... and the author of this article, Dr. Joseph Chambers, is one of the few who gets it. CMR

The Vast Distance Between The Earth And Heaven Is Already Dwindling?

This is why animals, fish and birds are dying by the tens of millions!

The weather patterns are bizaare and appear out of control. The thinking of politicians is off the wall and mindless. The passion of our elected leaders to take complete control of our lives is scary. There is evidence that evil forces are growing at a very rapid rate. The Bible makes it plain that the separation between the earth and the darkness beneath is also quickly vanishing to allow the Antichrist and his false spirit and demons to appear on earth. The world will soon be the blending of hell from beneath and heaven from above. The wicked will see the Heavenly Father on His Throne.

The greatest challenge of the believing world is to get back to the Bible, infallible and perfect. “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” (Matthew 24:35; Mark 3:31; Luke 21:33) Let’s look at just how perfect the Bible really is.

The Infallible Word of God! The most breathtaking book in the world is the infallible Word of God. Not one nuance was missed as God revealed His revelation to His prophets. Our Heavenly Father was so satisfied with His revelation and its perfection that He promised to preserve it for every generation. Not only did He promise to preserve it, but He warned men not to corrupt it and leveled a serious judgment upon any man that tampers with His truth. In God’s design, He apparently first settled His Word in Heaven and then progressively poured it into holy vessels to be written down for His church. “Forever, O Lord, thy Word is settled in Heaven.” (Psalm 119:89)

Truth Begins And Ends With Jesus Christ
He is the eternal Word (logos). “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” (John 1:1-5)

The truth as written in Heaven and revealed by His prophets in the Bible is centered in and totally identical to Jesus Christ as revealed in His flesh. In fact, Apostle John said, “And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:4) Imagine a Bible (the Word of God) that is not only a book, but is also a person, the Son of God. The Bible and Jesus Christ are identical in essence. Both the “Word” written and the “Living Word” are God’s perfect revelation.

Pilate, in speaking with Jesus, asked, “What is truth?” (John 18:38) He asked this question of Jesus because the Son of man had said, “And for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.” (John 18:37) Jesus had said earlier to His disciples, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” (John 14:6)Jesus Christ is the truth in exactly the same fashion that the Bible is truth. They are inseparable. One is the Person and the other is the perfect revelation of that Person.

The First Testament And Jesus Christ

The Book of Genesis is filled with the person of Jesus Christ. In the very first chapter of Genesis, Jesus Christ is revealed at least seven times. John the Revelator clearly established that Jesus is the first and the last. John stated, as Jesus had revealed to him, “Saying I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last.” (Revelation 1:11) The words, alpha and omega, are Greek words or letter meanings, and their Hebrew counterparts are aleph and tau. Seven times in Genesis, chapter one, as the Scripture deals with creation, the aleph and tau are found in the Hebrew text without being translated.

Here is a literal rendering of one verse showing where the aleph and tau appear. Remember alpha and omega are the first and the last letters of the Greek alphabet, while the aleph and tau are the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Notice this verse, “In the beginning created God (aleph and tau) the Heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1, The Interlinear Bible)John clearly stated that the Word created all things and that same Word became flesh in Jesus Christ. Here, we see that “Word” as the Creator in the perfect picture of the creation story itself. This kind of Biblical perfection is found throughout Genesis and the whole Bible.

The Gospel In Genesis

In Genesis chapter five we have the Gospel message clearly presented. When the average person reads this chapter they are bored because it appears to be no more than the genealogies of the first ten generations of families. Let’s take a closer look by defining the name of each generation leader and then uniting those names in the text.

Adam means man, the first man, and Seth, his son, means appointed.Seth’s son, Enos, means mortal; while his son, Cainan, means sorrow; and his son, Mahalaleel means the blessed of God. Jared was the son of Mahalaleel, which means shall come down; and Jared’s son, Enoch, means teaching. Enoch named his son Methusaleh because God had apparently warned that at his death the great flood would come. Methusaleh means “his death shall bring”. Lamech was the name of his son, whose name means despairing, clearly describing the condition of the world at that time. Lamech’s son, Noah, was named comfort and rest, because God was going to reveal Himself and comfort mankind.

When you see God’s revelation in this genealogy, the message is overwhelming. “Man, appointed to mortal sorrow, the great God shall come down, teaching, His death shall bring the despairing comfort and rest.” The divine revelations of the “Word” were never wasted. Each word and every verse was placed in Scripture to reveal a perfect manifestation of truth. No wonder Jesus quoted Moses by saying, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by ‘every’ word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4; Deuteronomy 8:3) The Bible is a perfect whole.

The Torah Or Pentateuch

The first five books of the Bible are called the Torah. It’s amazing to look at this significant word. To the Jews the Torah are the most sacred books of the Bible. Remember, Torah in English is spelled with five letters, but in the Hebrew language it consists of only four Hebrew characters. The four Hebrew letters spelling Torah were Resh (Reysh), Vau, Tau, and Hey. When they were written, each letter had an original meaning. The four letters mean the following: Resh – Head, Vaul – Nail, Tau – Cross, and He – Reveals. Every time a Jewish person names or writes the name of his sacred text, he is declaring that the Head of that text was nailed to a cross and revealed the mercy and truth of that sacred revelation.

The Torah Contains Incredible Mysteries

A recent article appeared in the Bible Review publication entitled, “Divine Authorship?” This article was a review of the work of Jewish scholars, Doran Witztum, Eliyahu Rips and Yoav Rosenberg, of the Jerusalem College of Technology and the Hebrew University. The title of their work, which was printed in the eminent Journal Of The Royal Statistical Society, was “Equidistant Letter Sequences in the Book of Genesis.”

These authors, who are mathematical statisticians, have discovered words encoded in the Hebrew text that cannot be accidental. Their work was from the Textus Receptus or Masoretic text. The author of this review, Jeffrey B. Satinover, explained the results as following: “This in effect is what the researchers have found embedded in the Hebrew text of the Torah – a whole series of meaningful word-pairs in close proximity, something that they demonstrate cannot have happened by chance. These words they found in close proximity are not simply the words of the text (as would be the case in the analogy above of an unknown potential language). They were rather words composed of letters selected at various equal skip distances, for example, every second or third or fourth letter. It was as though “behind” the surface meaning of the Hebrew there was a second, hidden level of embedded meaning.” (“Divine Authorship?”, Bible Review, October 1995, p. 29)

Mr. Satinover then explained how they used a combination of words related in life or history to show that the Biblical text revealed a prior consciousness of every human event. I will let him describe it. “…the researchers… found the pair Zedekiah (a sixth century B.C.E. king of Judah), and Matanya, Zedekiah’s original name (see 2 Kings 24:17); and the pair Hanukkah (the Jewish festival that commemorates the re-dedication of the Temple after it was recaptured from the Assyrians in the second century B.C.E.) and Hasmoneans (the family name of the leaders of the Jewish forces that managed to wrest the Temple from the Assyrian monarch Antiochus IV Epiphanes). Note that these names and events found encoded in the text of the Torah involved people who lived, and events that occurred, long after the Torah was composed, whether by a divine or human hand.

“In their 1988 paper, the researchers selected, at random, 300 such Hebrew word-pairs with obviously related meanings, and looked for the words embedded in the text by treating the entire book of Genesis as a long cryptographic string. They would start at the beginning until they came to the first letter, then look to see if a second letter could be found two letters away. If so, they then looked for the third letter two letters away; if not, they stopped and searched for the next appearance of the first letter and repeated the process. They continued until they found an occurrence of the entire word spelled out at every second letter. If not, they performed the same procedure looking at every third letter instead.

“In this fashion they searched first every other letter, then every third, and so on (including reverse order). When they found the first instance (that is, at the minimum skip distance, and measured its proximity within the text-string to the first. They did this for all 300 word-pairs.” (Ibid, pp.30-31)

According to information in this review, the possibility of this happening by chance was less than 1 in 50 quadrillion. In fact, a public statement was offered by eminent scholars here in America as reported, “Following publication of this paper, a public statement was issued, signed by five mathematical scholars – two from Harvard, two from Hebrew University and one from Yale. ‘The present work,’ they said, ‘represents serious research carried out by serious investigators.’” (Ibid, p.31)

Great Jewish scholars have contended that the Torah contains all knowledge. One such gentleman, Rabbi Gaon of the 18th century, stated,
“All that was, is, and will be unto the end of time is included in the Torah…and not merely in a general sense, but including the details of every species and of each person individually, and the most minute details of everything that happened to him from the day of his birth until his death.” (Ibid.)

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, said it even plainer, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till Heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of Heaven; but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of Heaven.” (Matthew 5:17-19)
