OSAS And The Church In Sardis (Rev. 3:1-6)

Jack Kelley is one of my favorite Bible writers. He is very thought provoking and obviously spends a lot of time in Bible study. His website is at: http://gracethrufaith.com/ and you can sign up for his eletter.  Enjoy. CMR

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley (LINK)

I keep getting questions from people who wonder if Rev. 3:5 denies OSAS. Usually these questions come from folks who believe in OSAS but have had Rev. 3:5 used against them by those who don’t. They write in hoping I’ll have an answer that will confirm their belief and that they can also use to defend it the next time they are confronted with this verse.

I’ve answered the question several times and posted my answer on our “Ask A Bible Teacher” page but I’ve never devoted a whole article to it. When I got the question again this week, I decided to offer an expanded answer.

This would be a good time for us to remember that the Bible, being the Word of God, cannot contradict itself. Therefore, when there are multiple verses in support of a position it’s a mistake to think any other verse could negate that position, even if at first glance it seems to be contradictory. Instead we should look more closely at the “contradictory” verse to see where we’ve misunderstood it.

Where OSAS is concerned there are multiple clear verses that support it. John 6:37-40, John 10:27-30, Romans 8:38-39, 2 Cor. 1:21-22, Ephes. 1:13-14 are good examples. Therefore, our goal in reviewing Rev. 3:1-6 is to see where those who believe that it contradicts OSAS have misunderstood it.

Let’s begin with some background on the Book of Life, mentioned in Rev. 3:5, because that’s what the deniers focus on. They claim that the Lord’s promise never to blot out the name of the overcomer means He can blot out the name of those who are not overcomers. Therefore a person can lose his or her salvation for failing to overcome. (For a complete study on what it means to be an overcomer read “Who Are the Overcomers?”)

The Bible actually speaks of two similar books, a Book of Life and a Lamb’s Book of Life, and only the Book of Life appears in Rev. 3:5 so we’ll start with it.

The Book Of Life

According to Ps. 139:16 all the days ordained for us were written in the Book of Life before one of them came to be. Most scholars take that to mean that the names of everyone ever born are written in the Book of Life.

The first mention of the Book of Life (literally Book of the Living) is in Exodus 32 where the Lord threatened to destroy all the Israelites because of the Golden Calf rebellion (Ex. 32:10). Moses made intercession for them, asking the Lord to forgive the sins of the people, but if He was not willing He should blot Moses out of the book instead of them (Ex. 32:32).

Moses was offering to be eternally banned from the Lord’s presence for the sins of the people. It was an incredible thing for him to offer and in some ways it was a preview of what Jesus would later do for all of mankind. The Lord said instead of destroying them all right then He would delay their ultimate punishment until a future time. But when that time came He would blot out the names of all who had sinned against Him (Ex. 32:33-34). That tells us the names of those who sin against God can be blotted out of the Book of Life.

In Judaism it’s believed that this book is opened and updated every year during the 10 days leading up to Yom Kippur. During that time the people try to right all the wrongs they’ve done in the previous year through repentance, prayer, and good deeds. They do this in the hope that their names will be inscribed in the book of life for another year before it’s sealed on Yom Kippur.  A traditional blessing among Jewish people during this time of year is, “May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year.”

The Lamb’s Book Of Life

In Rev. 13:8 we’re introduced to another Book of Life, this one belonging to the Lamb who was slain from the foundation of the world. In this verse John said all those who dwell upon the Earth will worship the anti-Christ, whose names are not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Peter confirms the Lamb is Jesus, so the Lamb’s Book of Life appears to be the registry of the Church, rescued from the time and place of the End times judgments (1 Thes. 1:10).

Some translations of Rev. 13:8 indicate the Lamb’s Book of Life was written from the creation of the world. If so, it means the name of every member of the Church was known to God and inscribed there at that time. God could do this because He knows the end from the beginning.  (Paul mentioned God’s foreknowledge in Romans 8:29.)  Since the Church is promised the blessing of eternal security, if it was possible to blot anyone’s name out of the Lamb’s Book of Life, it would mean that God had made a mistake in putting it there in the first place.  Of course, God could not make such a mistake.

Rev. 21:27 says only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life can live in the New Jerusalem. In my opinion, that means the New Jerusalem is the exclusive home of the Church. It contains the mansions Jesus has been preparing for us in His Father’s house (John 14:2-3). Rev. 13:8 and Rev. 21:27 are the Bible’s only references to The Lamb’s Book of Life.

Some have expressed the opinion that since post rapture believers are also saved by the Lamb, their names should be in the Lamb’s Book of Life as well. But the fact is that every saved person in history, whether from the Old Testament or New, owes his or her salvation to the Lord for His substitutionary death on our behalf. After all, it was a once for all time sacrifice (Hebr. 10:12). And of all the saints, only the ones from the Church Age are unique. We alone are promised membership in God’s family (John 1:12-13), eternal security (Ephes. 1:13-14) salvation by grace through faith alone (Ephes. 2:8-9), a seat at the Lord’s side in the heavenly realms (Ephes 2:6), a joint inheritance with Him (Romans 8:17), and a home in the New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:27).  If the Lamb’s Book of Life is for every believer there would be no need for it, because every believer’s name will appear in the Book of Life. With that background lets take a look at Rev. 3:1-6.

The Letter To The Church At Sardis

“To the angel of the church in Sardis write:
These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.  Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God.  Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.
Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. The one who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.  Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

There are three details that give us the context of this letter. First of all notice that the Lord refers to His coming to them (2nd Coming), not for them (Rapture). Then we see that He is talking about the Book of Life and not the Lamb’s Book of Life. Finally, he said only a few in that church had not soiled their clothes and would walk with Him dressed in white.

(When used symbolically, clothing represents our righteousness. Isaiah 61:10, Isaiah 64:6 are examples. Having soiled clothing means their righteousness is not sufficient to dwell with God. This is what Jesus meant when He said their deeds were unfinished.

That means only a few from the Church in Sardis will qualify for the rapture. He was talking to the others when He warned them to wake up, remember what they have received and heard (the Gospel) and repent (change their minds about needing a savior). Otherwise they will not know when He is coming and could miss their last chance to be saved.

These details tell us that although He’s speaking to a church, for the most part the people in it don’t belong to The Church. If they did, He would have referred to the Lamb’s Book of Life, which contains only born again believers, He would have said He was coming for them in the rapture, and He would have said they would all walk with Him and be dressed in white. (In Ephesians 5:25-27 the Lord described the Church as being radiant, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.)

Who Are These People?

When viewed in the order in which they appear, the seven churches of Rev. 2-3 provide an overview of Church history. By the particular way in which the Lord described them, we can see the apostolic church in the letter to Ephesus, the church of the persecution in Smyrna, the church that was merged with the pagan Roman system in Pergamum, the Roman Catholic church in Thyatira, the protestant church in Sardis, the evangelical church in Philadelphia, and the apostate church in Laodicea.
Of the seven churches, Ephesus, Smyrna, and Pergamum are gone, but Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea are still represented as the end of the age approaches.

Sardis represents the church of the reformation, which grew into the main line denominations of today. Only a few are born again and will be raptured. These are the ones who have not soiled their clothes and are worthy to walk with Him. But those who overcome during the end times judgments will still be able to enter eternity with Him.

In all seven letters to overcome means to remain true to the simple Gospel; believing Jesus died for our sins and rose again, without adding to or subtracting from it. When Jesus said the church in Sardis had a reputation of being alive but was really dead, He was accusing them of having subtracted so much from the gospel that what’s left is no longer sufficient to save them. This is certainly true of the liberal denominations, who believe people are saved just by joining their church. But by reading their Bibles people in these churches can easily find out the truth about what it takes to be saved (1 Cor. 15:1-4).

What’s It All About?

From this we can see that Rev. 3:1-6 is a letter to protestant church goers, not to born again believers. In it the Lord was admonishing the majority to do what the few had done, and remember what they had originally been taught.

The five “solas” of the reformation summarized the original theology of the reformers. Sola fides, faith alone; Sola Scriptura, Scripture alone; Solus Christus, Christ alone; Sola gratia, grace alone; Soli Dia gloria, to the Glory of God alone. These five solas were the reformers rebuttal to the Catholic Church and its extra-biblical traditions. This is what they taught, this is what the protestant church originally received and heard, and this is what Jesus was admonishing them to remember. They need to hold fast to the five solas and change their minds about their current non-biblical theology.

Now we can see that Rev. 3:1-6 is not about eternal security at all. It’s about reminding people who aren’t saved in the first place to remember what the reformation originally stood for, and return to what they had received and heard. Doing this is how they’ll avoid having their name blotted out of the book.

Since there’s no mention of the Lamb’s Book of Life it appears that the ultimate recipients of this warning will be those who are left behind when the true Church is taken in the rapture. Failing to heed the Lord’s warning could leave them in a bad way at the second Coming.

Four times in the Olivet Discourse the Lord said people on Earth at the time will not know the day or hour of His return (Matt. 24:36, Matt. 24:42-44, Matt. 24:50, Matt. 25:13). He warned the church in Sardis of the same thing. They run the risk of realizing after it’s too late that they’ve missed their chance. I believe this is what Jesus meant when He said,
“At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky and all the nations of the Earth will mourn. They will see the Son of man coming on the clouds with power and great glory” (Matt. 24:30).

The nations (people) will mourn because they will realize that what they heard about Jesus is true. He is coming to judge the world and it will be too late for them. They will have been caught on the wrong side of the most important decision of their lives.

If you have friends and loved ones in the same state as the church in Sardis, please warn them what’s at stake once again. Don’t let them risk missing their last chance to be saved. 08-16-14.

Married 33 Years + Interesting Numbers

My husband and I have been married 33 years today, or as my minister father would have put it, "33 years of connubial bliss..."  Our family always had a lot of fun with that terminology.

It dawned on me two days ago that my husband and I have some pretty interesting numbers today:

Both of our birthdays fall on the 11th of a month

We were married on the 22nd of August

We have been married 33 years today.

Being familiar with occult numbering systems I found this incredibly fascinating. Even though Lucifer and Company regularly uses these very numbers over and over again for various purposes, let us not forget that it was God who created numbers and their significance. Lucifer only does what he does best - counterfeits and deceives with them.

So, my conclusion is that God ordained these numbers for my husband and myself. To what purpose I haven't the foggiest. But there is order in them, and therefore significance. I get 'positive vibes' from this information.

We wouldn't trade these 33 years for anything. We love each other more than words can say. Entering one's elder years with the person you love - and who loves you - more than anything in life is a very sweet comfort ... connubial loaves and fishes. Multiplied blessings.

The Lord is good. And I am thankful and full of JOY.

I'm thinkin' the Rapture is 44 :-)

He Calls His Own...By Name!

by  OSWALD CHAMBERS
From "My Utmost For His Highest"

August 16, 2014
Does He Know Me . . . ?
He calls his own . . . by name . . . —John 10:3

When I have sadly misunderstood Him? (see John 20:11-18). It is possible to know all about doctrine and still not know Jesus. A person’s soul is in grave danger when the knowledge of doctrine surpasses Jesus, avoiding intimate touch with Him. Why was Mary weeping? Doctrine meant no more to her than the grass under her feet. In fact, any Pharisee could have made a fool of Mary doctrinally, but one thing they could never ridicule was the fact that Jesus had cast seven demons out of her (see Luke 8:2); yet His blessings were nothing to her in comparison with knowing Jesus Himself. “. . . she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. . . . Jesus said to her, ’Mary!’ ” (John 20:14, 16). Once He called Mary by her name, she immediately knew that she had a personal history with the One who spoke. “She turned and said to Him, ’Rabboni!’ ” (John 20:16).

When I have stubbornly doubted? (see John 20:24-29). Have I been doubting something about Jesus— maybe an experience to which others testify, but which I have not yet experienced? The other disciples said to Thomas, “We have seen the Lord” (John 20:25). But Thomas doubted, saying, “Unless I see . . . I will not believe” (John 20:25). Thomas needed the personal touch of Jesus. When His touches will come we never know, but when they do come they are indescribably precious. “Thomas . . . said to Him, ’My Lord and my God!’ ” (John 20:28).

When I have selfishly denied Him? (see John 21:15-17). Peter denied Jesus Christ with oaths and curses (see Matthew 26:69-75), and yet after His resurrection Jesus appeared to Peter alone. Jesus restored Peter in private, and then He restored him publicly before the others. And Peter said to Him, “Lord . . . You know that I love You” (John 21:17).

Do I have a personal history with Jesus Christ? The one true sign of discipleship is intimate oneness with Him— a knowledge of Jesus that nothing can shake.

RICK WARREN: Purpose Driven Resisters - Must Leave or Die

I am a spiritual warfare veteran of dealing with the Purpose Driven Movement and its counterparts. My husband and I have left several churches when we saw this heresy ... part of the great falling away to which the Bible refers ... coming into almost every church we attended over a period of ten years and more. The article below comes from Lighthouse Trails Research, which I highly recommend if you are seeking the truth about a church, a movement, schools, colleges, seminaries, and more.

Within the past month we see another church falling to its ruin due to this movement, which is a part of the apostate Antichrist church forming as I write. I have taken persecution - from Christians -  because I stand against false doctrine, apostasy, heresy and public hypocrisy from those who claim to be Christians; they want unity. There can be no unity between those who follow the doctrine of Jesus Christ and those who do not. This is precisely why there is a great falling away, a great apostasy, leading to the Antichrist Church. In the end, they will try to kill me if I am still here. I will be vindicated in that day by the Savior Himself. CMR

PURPOSE DRIVEN RESISTERS - MUST LEAVE OR DIE

Record of Events - June 2006
Those who oppose the "program" are called leaders from hell.

The phone calls and emails started coming in about three years ago. Sometimes the caller was in his mid-eighties, sometimes the caller was crying. But all of them had the same kind of story to tell - when their churches decided to get involved with 40 Days of Purpose, everything began changing and when they questioned these changes, they each soon found themselves silenced, ostracized and eventually without a church to attend. Now today, nearly five years after Purpose Driven Life was released, thousands of believers are scattered throughout the world, having been ridiculed and demoralized for even just the slightest questioning of the Purpose Driven program. In one email we received, the young man was handed a letter from his pastor. The letter had been written by a Saddleback field representative who told the pastor to do what he had to do to get rid of those opposing the new program.

According to Rick Warren, these people are resisters and are standing in the way of Purpose Driven progress. In a June 14th article written by Rick Warren on his website (What Do You Do When Your Church Hits a Plateau? ), Warren told pastors and church leaders not to be discouraged about slow change in their churches. He told them it would take time ... and in many cases it would take these resisters either leaving the church or simply dying. Warren stated:

If your church has been plateaued for six months, it might take six months to get it going again. If it's been plateaued a year, it might take a year. If it's been plateaued for 20 years, you've got to set in for the duration! I'm saying some people are going to have to die or leave.
Moses had to wander around the desert for 40 years while God killed off a million people before he let them go into the Promised Land. That may be brutally blunt, but it's true. There may be people in your church who love God sincerely, but who will never, ever change.
For Warren to couple his statement about dying or leaving with a statement about God killing off a million people is ignorant at best, subliminal at least. Coupled with his mention of 40 years in the desert and Warren's teaching that God always did good things in numbers of 40, Warren's intention in this statement seems obvious. In addition, the concept of get with the program, change or die is very common in New Age circles, that those who don't get on board (or ride the wave as Leonard Sweet puts it), will have to die. Listen to the words of renown New Ager Barbara Marx Hubbard:

Christ-consciousness and Christ-abilities are the natural inheritance of every human being on Earth. When the word of this hope has reached the nations, the end of this phase of evolution shall come. All will know their choice. All will be required to choose.... All who choose not to evolve will die off. (See The Plan)
Furthermore, Leonard Sweet, in his book, Soul Tsunami, says that:

A sea change of transitions and transformations is birthing a whole new world and a whole new set of ways of making our way in the world.... It is time for a Postmodern Reformation ... Reinvent yourself for the 21st century or die. Some would rather die than change (pp. 17, 75).
Rick Warren (whose endorsement sits on both the front and back covers of Sweet's book) says that Soul Tsunami "shows us why these are the greatest days for evangelism since the first century." In an audio set done by Rick Warren and Leonard Sweet called Tides of Change, the two men elaborate on this and make it clear that those who don't ride this new wave will not make it.

One of the tools Rick Warren uses to help churches become Purpose Driven is a book called Transitioning: Leading Your Church Through Change. The book is sold on Rick Warren's website and is written by Dan Southerland. According to pastors.com (Rick Warren's website to pastors), Southerland is the director of "Church Transitions Inc., an organization that trains pastors and church leaders to effectively manage major transitions. Southerland ... is the leading expert on implementing the Purpose Driven paradigm in existing churches."

Chapter six of Transitioning is called "Dealing with Opposition" and is just one of many ways Rick Warren tries to convey the fact that those who oppose him are less than desirable. Southerland states:

We have experienced two major sources of criticism during our transitions. The first is Christians from more traditional backgrounds.... Not all of our traditional backgrounded Christians have been critical - just the ornery ones. Our second source of criticism is traditional church pastors. Again, not all traditional church pastors - just the meaner ones (p. 116).
Southerland tells readers that "some folks are going to get very angry." He goes so far as to liken opposers of Purpose Driven to "leader[s] from hell." He says:

If you have read Nehemiah recently, you will remember that Sanballat is Nehemiah's greatest critic and number one enemy. Let me put it plainer than that. Sanballat is a leader from hell. We all have some Sanballats in our churches. This is the guy who opposes whatever you propose.... You cannot call this guy a leader from hell to his face - but you could call him Sanballat (p. 115).
In 2003, during Saddleback's 25th anniversary, Rick Warren recited, along with 30,000 participants, the Purpose Driven Covenant. In that covenant he stated that he would do "whatever it takes" to accomplish his goals. For us at Lighthouse Trails it has become increasingly evident that he wasn't kidding when he said that. Last year, as some of you may remember, we issued a press release that showed the connection between Rick Warren and Ken Blanchard. In Warren's own words, he acknowledged that Blanchard, a New Age sympathizer, had "signed on" to help implement Warren's global P.E.A.C.E. plan. Warren stated this at a Saddleback service as well as at the 2003 Lead Like Jesus conference in Alabama. However, a month after we issued the press release, Lighthouse Trails received an email from Rick Warren. The email was sent in the middle of the night, and by the following morning, Warren had given permission to a colleague to post his email online. We contacted Saddleback and confirmed this. Needless to say, countless people found out about this email. However, what most who read his email did not realize was that the majority of the statements in his email were not true. We posted a public response but knew that most people would either only read Warren's email to us or refuse to believe that America's pastor was lying and we were speaking the truth.
Lighthouse Trails learned of Rick Warren's connection to Ken Blanchard through a book called A Life With Purpose, written by Hollywood biographer, George Mair. Ray Yungen discusses this in his book, A Time of Departing:

In the spring of 2005, someone handed me a book called A Life with Purpose by George Mair. The book is written as a positive account of Rick Warren's life. In fact, the subtitle on the front cover reads: America's Most Inspiring Pastor. It is clear that the author had a great admiration for Warren. While Mair wrote the book, he spent many Sunday mornings at Saddleback church services, listening to Rick Warren and donating financially. However, after Rick Warren found out about the book, he publicly criticized it. In addition, Saddleback church sent out emails to an undisclosed number of people, discrediting Mair's book.

I personally believe Warren's effort to debunk the book was an attempt to conceal some of its observations. What George Mair didn't realize was that in his candid account of Warren, and in his efforts to offer this testament of praise, some things were revealed about the pastor that might have gone undetected by the average person. For instance, Mair explains how New Age prophet Norman Vincent Peale was at the foundation of the church-growth movement and furthermore "many of Peale's uplifting affirmations originated with an 'obscure teacher of occult science' named Florence Scovel Shinn." Referring to many of the methods that Peale taught and his "unification of psychology and religion," Mair says, "Saddleback distinctly bears the stamp of Reverend Norman Vincent Peale."

In November of 2003, Rick Warren announced to his Saddleback congregation his global P.E.A.C.E. Plan. In the same sermon, Warren introduced the congregation to Ken Blanchard, playing a video clip of Blanchard's visit to Saddleback a few days earlier. Warren informed his large congregation that Blanchard had:"... signed on to help with the P.E.A.C.E. Plan, and he's going to be helping train us in leadership and in how to train others to be leaders all around the world."
In light of the fact that Ken Blanchard has promoted Buddhism and Eastern style meditation for over 20 years, it became very alarming to know that Rick Warren was using Blanchard to train leaders around the world.

The weeks following Rick Warren's email to us, we received phone calls and emails from different men from Saddleback, one of them telling us to stop "lobbing dead cats [and grenades] over the wall." It was confirmed also that an email was sent out from Saddleback to an unknown number of people, discussing the Blanchard issue. That email stated that Lighthouse Trails had lied and they should not be listened to.

And then in December of 2005 a very strange thing happened - a woman sent us an email she had received from Rick Warren's personal email address, which stated:

The website you refer to [Lighthouse Trails] below is well-known for publishing lies, which can easily be proven false.... The Bible says "Satan is the father of lies", so those who intentionally spread them are doing Satan's work for him. That is evil. We suggest you avoid listening to evil people who have a habit of lying about ministers of the Gospel. Study the Scriptures every day and flee from those who make their reputation by lying.
We contacted Saddleback about the email, and we received the following reply, suggesting that the email had been written by a computer hacker: "We are sorry that this public mailbox has been shut down due to vandalism and stolen identity. Federal enforcement officers are tracking down the source in either Africa or the Pacific Northwest." At first, we thought this was a joke because we (who live in the Pacific Northwest) had recently issued a press release about an evangelist in Africa who had been opposing Purpose Driven. Hearing that Federal officers had narrowed down an investigation to either our location or the evangelist's location seemed preposterous. We contacted Saddleback by phone requesting the names of these Federal agents because of the threatening nature of the "anonymous" email. A few days later a Saddleback staff member called and told us that Federal agents were doing an investigation on their web server being broken into and that Saddleback suspected Lighthouse Trails. We again asked for the names of the Federal agents as well as the Saddleback communications director that was handling the case. However, we were told they would not give us any names. We have not heard anything from Saddleback since.

We testify of these things, not to distract you from the issues at hand (of exposing contemplative and emerging spirituality within the church), but rather to show that Rick Warren, as well as other leaders, will go to great lengths to preserve their status and to complete their tasks, even to the point of lying, threatening, discrediting and deceiving. While we have postponed releasing this information for several months, because of Rick Warren's continuous brazen remarks against the body of Christ and because Purpose Driven is an avenue through which the New Age is entering the church, we believe it is of utmost importance to relay this documentation to believers who are working so diligently to defend the gospel message of Jesus Christ in a time when a great falling away appears to be at hand.

The question we must ask is just how far will Rick Warren go to help rid churches of those they consider "leader[s] from hell," who in reality may be part of the very Bride of Christ.

Special Note: Recently the Calvary Chapel movement (founded by Chuck Smith, Sr.) made a bold declaration when they decided to reject the emerging and contemplative prayer movements and to discontinue their support and use of all Purpose Driven materials. Many applaud this bold and sacrificial action. See our Special Report.

It was reported Tony Palmer died sunday 7-20-14. Recent updates suggest otherwise. The man that worked to bring faiths together in Christ under the Vatican was cut down. Is this the end of his work Or the beginning of the mass falling away that the scriptures warn us about?

Guard your hearts and minds in prayer. Pray you are your family are not deceived!

The opening of the bottomless pit seems to be opened by a nuclear event. Smoke rises and mixes with the air and blocks out the sun. Apollyon and foul spirits exit and inhabit the Earth.

Shocking Confession of A Former Roman Catholic Nun

** FOR THE BEST AND LATEST PERSECUTION / MIDDLE EAST NEWS GO TO www.shoebat.com.

I thought I knew most of the evil, which I have studied extensively, that has resided in the Roman Catholic Church since its inception. I know its satanic pagan roots and how it tried to hijack the early body of Christian believers, how it murdered more true Christians than any other entity in history, how its 'saints' have been possessed of the devil over the centuries, how the Jesuits have attempted to corrupt the real body of Christ through false Bible translations, infiltration of seminaries and churches.

Yes, I am quite familiar with that evil institution. And yet, I was shocked and stunned listening to this former nun and discovering the wicked system that is alive - as I write - in that organization's convents and throughout the entire satanic Vatican system. This is quite possibly the most horrifying testimony I have ever heard, and I cried many times while listening to it. It is truly unconscionable, and it is the RULE. There are no exceptions; this IS the system. The rabbit hole continues to go deeper. Fortunately, God saw fit to bring this lady into His fold after all of her years of unspeakable suffering. Please add the 'little nuns' to your prayer list.

This story has no doubt been around for many years. What makes it different today? It is being put out there by the Dark Side - a shot across the bow from the Beast to the Whore - another sign of prophecy about to be fulfilled:

"And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire."  Revelation 17:16.

;The Onset of Lying signs and Wonders?

The world would be a better place if people had half as much insight and discernment as imagination and gullibility. But we live in an age of insanity. Evil breeds insanity. Jesus said that appetites for signs and wonders are signs of an evil generation. God is looking for FAITH. “... when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Lk 18:8)

God appears in the skies above Cape Coral?

Story From Christianity Today
Social media weighs in on striking photo.

Unique cloud formations were captured in a Cape Coral, Florida photo this week, and some viewers called the images heavenly.

A mountainous cloud formation was likened to an image of God standing majestically over the earth, and a smaller formation to the right was interpreted as an angel, bowing slightly, and perhaps playing a trumpet.

The picture was taken by a Huffington Post employee and uploaded to their website on Tuesday.

Seeing religious images in clouds is not a new phenomenon, but sharing those images with millions of people worldwide is a product of the internet age and the social media boom.

"Picture taken today in Florida," a California woman wrote on Twitter of the interesting photograph.

"The figure could be a build up of clouds or Maybe of God in robes and his angel gabe."

"This photo blew me away!" a New Jersey woman wrote, sharing the picture on her blog.

The picture and story were also shared on UK website The Daily Mail, where the commentors expressed skepticism.

"Please tell what does The Lord actually look like?" a person in Australia asked. "A cloud of fluff? Huge marshmallow? Soft cotton balls?"

"I see an ad for the Michelin Man or the Pillsbury Doughboy," a man from the UK added.

"Is this an optical illusion? Like a 3D image where you have to stare into it for an hour? All I see is a cloud," a Canadian commenter said.

For viewers who do see something special in the clouds, there is often a personal, spiritual message that accompanies the visual interpretation.

When the "face of God" was spotted in the sky above Norfolk County, England last month, thousands of people were affected by the image.

"God really sees us!!!" one woman wrote on Twitter.

"He came to fetch my father-in-law who died last night," another person shared.

Social media users who saw a photo of storm clouds seemingly parting above a Florida highway last month had a similar reaction.

Mother Teresa Was Not A Christian

MOTHER TERESA’S FALSE HOPE

The August 23, 2007 issue of
Time magazine featured a lengthy review of a new book documenting Mother Teresa’s long night of the soul. The book, Mother Teresa: Come Be My Light, the Private Writings of the Saint of Calcutta, contains heretofore unpublished statements made by the nun to her Catholic confessors and superiors over a period of more 66 years, but the focus is from 1948, when she founded the Missionaries of Charity organization, until 1997, when she died. It is edited by Brian Kolodiejchuk, the Postulator for Mother Teresa’s canonization.

In March 1953 she wrote to her confessor: “... there is such terrible darkness within me, as if everything was dead. It has been like this more or less from the time I started ‘the work.’”

Over the years she had many confessors, and she continually referred to her spiritual condition as “my darkness” and to Jesus as “the Absent One.”

At the suggestion of one confessor she wrote the following to Jesus: “I call, I cling, I want -- and there is no One to answer -- no One on Whom I can cling -- no, No One. -- Alone ... Where is my Faith -- even deep down right in there is nothing, but emptiness & darkness. ... When I try to raise my thoughts to Heaven -- there is such convicting emptiness that those very thoughts return like sharp knives & hurt my very soul. -- I am told God loves me -- and yet the reality of darkness & coldness & emptiness is so great that nothing touches my soul.”

In 1962 she wrote: “If I ever become a Saint -- I will surely be one of ‘darkness,’” and again, “How cold-how empty -- how painful is my heart. -- Holy communion -- Holy Mass -- all the holy things of spiritual life -- of the life of Christ in me -- are all so empty -- so cold -- so un-wanted. The physical situation of my poor, left in the streets unwanted, unloved, un-claimed -- are the true picture of my own spiritual life, of my love for Jesus” (
Mother Teresa: Come Be My Light, p. 232).

In 1979 she wrote: “The silence and the emptiness is so great -- that I look and do not see, -- Listen and do not hear.”

Her private statements about her faith and relationship with Christ continued in this vein until her death.

HOPE IN A FALSE GOSPEL IS NO HOPE AT ALL

Mother Teresa’s error was putting her faith in Rome’s false gospel. We have documented this in articles since the 1980s. O Timothy magazine for January 1985 (Volume 2, Issue 1) featured the article “Is Mother Teresa an Evangelical Christian.” We demonstrated that Mother Teresa was a faithful daughter of Rome.

MOTHER TERESA’S JESUS WAS THE WAFER OF THE MASS

In her speech at the Worldwide Retreat for Priests, October 1984, in the Paul VI Audience Hall in Vatican City, Mother Teresa made the following statements:

“At the word of a priest, THAT LITTLE PIECE OF BREAD BECOMES THE BODY OF CHRIST, the Bread of Life. Then you give this living Bread to us, so that we too might live and become holy” (Mother Teresa, cited in
Be Holy: God’s First Call to Priests Today, edited by Tom Forrest, C.Ss.R., foreword by Msgr. John Magee, South Bend, Indiana: Greenlawn Press, 1987, p. 108).

“I was so struck with the thought that ONLY WHEN THE PRIEST IS THERE CAN WE HAVE OUR ALTAR AND OUR TABERNACLE AND OUR JESUS. ONLY THE PRIEST CAN PUT JESUS THERE FOR US” (Mother Teresa,
Be Holy, pp. 111).

“THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS YOU [PRIESTS] ARE CALLED ‘ANOTHER CHRIST’” (Mother Teresa,
Be Holy, p. 112).

MOTHER TERESA’S PROTECTOR WAS MARY

In her speech at the Vatican City in 1984 Mother Teresa said:

“So let us ask the help of our Lady! She is a Mother full of grace, full of God, full of Jesus. Let us ask her to be our Mother, guiding us and protecting us. ... It is true that we are already being helped by our tremendous devotion to Mary. She is our patroness and our Mother, and she is always leading us to Jesus” (Mother Teresa,
Be Holy, p. 75).

One of the “voices” that spoke to Mother Teresa and urged her to found the Missionaries of Charity was “Mary.” The following is a vision that she described in a letter to her archbishop in December 1947:

“Again that great crowd -- I could see great sorrow and suffering in their faces -- I was kneeling near Our Lady, who was facing them. -- … I heard her say, ‘Take care of them -- they are mine -- bring them to Jesus -- Carry Jesus to them -- Fear not. Teach them to say the Rosary -- the family Rosary and all will be well. -- Fear not -- Jesus and I will be with you and your children’” (
Mother Teresa: Come Be My Light, p. 99).

Note that this “Mary” told Mother Teresa to teach idolatrous sinners to pray the Rosary and that all would be well. She taught salvation through works, which is a false gospel. “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work” (Romans 11:6). “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:8).

MOTHER TERESA’S GOSPEL WAS UNIVERSALISM

Mother Teresa believed that every person is a child of God and that people can find God through any religion.

In her speech before the United Nations in October 1985, she said, “No color, no religion, no nationality should come between us--we are all children of God. ... When we destroy an unborn child, we destroy God” (
Christian News, Nov. 11, 1985, p. 17).

Mother Teresa called AIDS sufferers “children of God” and said, “Each one of them is Jesus in a distressing disguise” (
Time, Jan. 13, 1986).

In the biography
Mother Teresa: Her People and Her Work, she is quoted by Desmond Doig as follows: “If in coming face to face with God we accept Him in our lives, then we ... become a better Hindu, a better Muslim, a better Catholic, a better whatever we are ... What God is in your mind you must accept.”

The April 7-13, 1990, issue of
Radio Times told the story of Mother Teresa sheltering an old Hindu priest. “She nursed him with her own hands and helped him to die reconciled with his own gods.”

When Mother Teresa died, her longtime friend and biographer Naveen Chawla said that he once asked her bluntly, “Do you convert?” She replied, “Of course I convert. I convert you to be a better Hindu or a better Muslim or a better Protestant. Once you’ve found God, it’s up to you to decide how to worship him” (“Mother Teresa Touched other Faiths,” Associated Press, Sept. 7, 1997).

In 1984 we discovered that Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity nuns in Nepal teach Hindus to trust in their own gods. In November of that year my wife and I conducted a taped interview with Sister Ann of the Missionaries of Charity in Kathmandu. She was working with aged Hindus who lived in a temple area in the city and were waiting to die by Nepal’s “holiest” river, believing that they would gain spiritual benefits for doing so.

I asked, “Do you believe if the Hindus die believing in Shiva or Ram they will go to heaven.”

Ann replied: “Yes, that is their faith. My own faith will lead me to my God, no? So if they have believed in their god very strongly, if they have faith, surely they will be saved.”

I asked, “You do not believe they are lost, right?”

Ann replied: “No, they are not lost. They are saved according to their faith. If they believe whatever they believe that is their salvation.”

THERE IS NO SECURITY IN ROME’S GOSPEL

The fact is that those who trust Rome’s gospel can never have a true and honest sense of security and confidence in Christ because according to Rome, salvation depends partially upon a man’s works.

Rome’s gospel redefines grace to include works. It views justification NOT AS A ONCE-FOR-ALL LEGAL DECLARATION whereby the sinner is irreversibly declared righteous before God and is granted eternal life as the unmerited gift of God because of Christ’s perfect and completed atonement, BUT AS A PROCESS whereby the sinner is gradually saved through participation in the sacraments.

According to Roman Catholic theology, Christ purchased salvation and gave it to the Catholic Church to be distributed to men through its sacraments, and men are saved through faithful participation in the sacraments. This is not only a false gospel; it is a blasphemous usurpation of Christ’s position as only Lord and Savior and Mediator.

The Vatican Council II in the 1960s stated: “God’s only-begotten Son ... has won a treasure for the militant Church ... he has entrusted it to blessed Peter, the key-bearer of heaven, and to his successors who are Christ’s vicars on earth, so that they may distribute it to the faithful for their salvation” (the ellipses are in the original) (Vatican II, “Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy,” Apostolic Constitution on the Revision of Indulgences, Chap. 4, 7, p. 80).

Our Sunday Visitor’s Catholic Encyclopedia
, published in 1991, defines justification as “THE PROCESS by which a sinner is made righteous, pure and holy before God.” It says: “Justification in the Catholic Tradition comes about by means of faith in Christ, AND in a life of good works lived in response to God’s invitation to believe. ... That WORKS ARE CLEARLY REQUIRED in the New Testament for union with Christ is seen in the many parables such as the Good Samaritan, Lazarus and Dives, and others” (emphasis added).

Therefore, according to Rome, salvation is by faith in Christ plus good works and participation in the Catholic sacraments, and it is impossible to know for sure that you have ever done enough or done it properly.

Further, Rome has intruded itself between the sinner and Christ. Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). But the Catholic Church says, “Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will load you down with religious burdens so that you will never find rest and I will put priests and sacraments between you and Christ so that you will never reach him.”

This is the hopeless maze through which Mother Teresa roamed for her entire life. She had the Bible, but she did not accept its teaching, and she was doubtless confronted with the gospel of the grace of Christ through other means. She put her faith, rather, in Rome, and hoped vaguely in Mary and the Mass.

That is why she had such a long dark night of the soul.
