Francis Unfriendly Actions During Holy Land Visit

(MORE NEWS LINKS BELOW STORY)

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman were right when they blamed the noxious anti-Israel incitement rampant in Europe for Saturday’s murderous shooting attack at the Jewish Museum in Brussels and the assault and battery of two Jewish brothers outside their synagogue in a Paris suburb later that day.

Anti-Israel incitement is ubiquitous in Europe and is appearing in ever-widening circles of the Western world as a whole.

Until this week, the Catholic Church stayed out of the campaign to dehumanize Jews and malign the Jewish state.

Pope Benedict XVI was perceived as a friend of Israel, despite his childhood membership in the Hitler Youth. His opposition to Islam’s rejection of reason, eloquently expressed at his speech at the University of Regensburg in 2006, positioned him as a religious champion of reason, individual responsibility and law – Judaism’s primary contributions to humanity.

His predecessor Pope John Paul II was less willing to confront Islamic violence. But his opposition to Communism made him respect Israel as freedom’s outpost in the Middle East. John Paul’s visit to Israel in 2000 was in some ways an historic gesture of friendship to the Jewish people of Israel.

Both Benedict and John Paul II were outspoken champions of the Second Vatican Council and maintained doctrinal allegiance to the Church’s rejection of anti-Judaism, including the charge of deicide, and its denunciation of replacement theology.

Alas, the Golden Age of Catholic-Jewish relations seems to have come to an end during Francis’s visit to the Promised Land this week.

In one of his blander pronouncements during the papal visit, Netanyahu mentioned on Monday that Jesus spoke Hebrew. There was nothing incorrect about Netanyahu’s statement. Jesus was after all, an Israeli Jew.

But Francis couldn’t take the truth. So he indelicately interrupted his host, interjecting, “Aramaic.”
Netanyahu was probably flustered. True, at the time, educated Jews spoke and wrote in Aramaic. And Jesus was educated. But the language of the people was Hebrew. And Jesus preached to the people, in Hebrew.

Netanyahu responded, “He spoke Aramaic, but he knew Hebrew.”

Reuters’ write-up of the incident tried to explain away the pope’s rudeness and historical revisionism, asserting, “Modern-day discourse about Jesus is complicated and often political.” The report went on to delicately mention, “Palestinians sometimes describe Jesus as a Palestinian. Israelis object to that.”
Israelis “object to that” because it is a lie.

The Palestinians – and their Islamic and Western supporters – de-Judaize Jesus and proclaim him Palestinian in order to libel the Jews and criminalize the Jewish state. It seems like it would be the job of the Bishop of Rome to set the record straight. But instead, Francis’s discourtesy indicated that at a minimum, he doesn’t think the fact of Jesus’s Judaism should be mentioned in polite company.

Francis’s behavior during his public meeting with Netanyahu could have been brushed off as much ado about nothing if it hadn’t occurred the day after his symbolic embrace of some of the worst anti-Jewish calumnies of our times, and his seeming adoption of replacement theology during his homily in Bethlehem.

Consider first Francis’s behavior at the security barrier.

Reasonable people disagree about the contribution the security fence makes to the security of Israelis. But no one can reasonably doubt that it was built to protect Israelis from Palestinian terrorist murderers. And Francis ought to know this. Francis’s decision to hold a photo-op at the security barrier was an act of extreme hostility against Israel and the Jewish people.

As the former Cardinal of Buenos Aires, Francis may have heard of the November 2002 massacre at Kibbutz Metzer. Metzer was founded by Argentine communists in the 1950s. Metzer is located 500 meters from the 1949 armistice lines which made it an obvious beneficiary of the security fence. But true to its radical roots, in 2002 members of the kibbutz waged a public campaign against the planned route of the security fence. They feared that it would, in the words of Metzer member Danny Dovrat, “ignite hostility and create problems” with the kibbutz’s Palestinian neighbors.

Thanks to that concern, on the night of November 10, 2002, a gunman from the “moderate” US- and EU-supported Fatah terror organization faced no physical obstacle when he entered the kibbutz. Once there he killed two people on the street and then entered the home of Revital Ohayon and executed Revital and her two sons, Matan, 5, and Noam, 4 years old.

Fatah praised the attack on its website and pledged to conduct more assaults on “Zionist colonizers,” and promised to continue “targeting their children as well.”

Had he actually cared about the cause of peace and non-violence he claims to champion, Francis might have averred from stopping at the barrier, recognizing that doing so would defile the memory of the Ohayons and of hundreds of other Israeli Jewish families who were destroyed by Palestinian bloodlust and anti-Semitic depravity.

Instead, Francis “spontaneously” got out of his popemobile, walked over to a section of the barrier, and reverentially touched it and kissed it as if it were the Wailing Wall.

The graffiti on the section of the barrier Francis stopped at reinforced his anti-Semitic position. One of the slogans called for the embrace of the BDS campaign.

Although the economic consequences of the campaign of economic warfare against Israel in the West have been negligible, BDS’s goal is not economic. The goal of the movement is to dehumanize Israelis and set apart for social ostracism anyone who refuses to embrace the anti-Jewish slanders that Jews have no right to self-determination and are morally inferior to every other religious, ethnic and national group in the world.

And that is nothing compared to the other slogan on the barrier. That one equated the Palestinians in Bethlehem to the Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto. In other words, it denied the Holocaust.
By standing there, kissing the barrier with its Holocaust denying slogan, Francis gave Vatican license to Holocaust denial.

And that was just the beginning.

Pope Francis met with Fatah chief Mahmoud Abbas at his presidential palace in Bethlehem. When Israel transferred control over Jesus’s birthplace to Abbas’s predecessor Yasser Arafat in 1996, Arafat seized the Greek Orthodox monastery next to the Church of the Nativity and turned it into his – and later Abbas’s – official residence.

Standing next to Abbas on seized church property, the pope called Abbas “a man of peace.”

Abbas returned the favor by calling for Israel to release all Palestinian terrorists from Israeli prisons. And the pope – who interrupted Netanyahu when he told an historic truth – said nothing.

At mass at the Church of the Nativity on Sunday, Pope Francis prayed with Latin Patriarch Fuoad Twal. In his sermon Twal accused Israelis of being the present-day version of Christ killers by referring to the Palestinians as walking “in the footsteps of the Divine Child,” and likening the Israelis to King Herod.

In his words, “We are not yet done with the present-day Herods, who fear peace more than war… and who are prepared to continue killing.”

Rather than condemn these remarks, Francis echoed them.

“Who are we, as we stand before the Child Jesus? Who are we, standing as we before today’s children?” the pope asked.

“Are we like Mary and Joseph, who welcomed Jesus and cared for him with the love of a father and mother? Or are we like Herod, who wanted to eliminate him?” During his visit Monday to Jerusalem, Francis embraced the Palestinian mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Muhammed Hussein. Departing from his scripted remarks which called for the pope to refer to the mufti and his associates as “dear friends,” Francis called them his “dear brothers.”

Hussein has been condemned by the US and the EU for his calls for the annihilation of Jews in the name of Islam.

In 2012, Hussein said it was the destiny of Muslims to kill Jews, who he claims are subhuman beasts and “the enemies of Allah.” He has also praised suicide bombers and said their souls “tell us to follow in their path.”

Francis didn’t condemn him.

Francis stridently condemned the anti-Jewish attacks in Brussels and Paris. And during his ceremonial visits to Yad Vashem, the Wailing Wall and the terror victims memorial he said similarly appropriate things. But all of his statements ring hollow and false in light of his actions.

Israelis and Jews around the world need to be aware of what is happening. Francis is leading the Catholic Church in a distressingly anti-Jewish direction.

The Pulpits Are Silent

"For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?" -Jeremiah 5:26-31

Despite what the political parties would like you to believe, the problem in America is not the politicians, it is the pulpits. I hate to break the news to you, but most of America's pulpits are filled with cowardly men. They are a shame to the Christ they claim to serve.

Harsh words, aren't they? Not the type of thing that will make any friends in this "cheap-Grace" culture in which we live. But that's okay. I'm not looking to make friends.

I am about fed-up with what I see. How did we ever get such man-pleasing leaders? All that our fore-fathers held dear is being destroyed before our very eyes and hardly a peep from the pulpit. They don't want to hear it. It's the pulpiteers that I am talking about. They are concerned with being " too harsh", they tell me that "Jesus is in control," that they are not "called" to fight evil and that "we should pray for our enemies."

Where have these guys come from? What we need is a return of the Voice of God thundering through the prophets standing in America's pulpits. Not the prissy Purpose Driven drivel passing as the Gospel today. The feminized-preachers of today cannot hold a candle to those who ushered in The Great Awakening which led to the American Revolution, and the abolition of slavery -- two world-changing events spearheaded by the pulpit.

Listen to the message of America's premiere preachers today. Rick Warren and his Purpose Driven Life have infiltrated the Church. Over 400,000 pastors have attended his conferences and over 40 million of his books have been sold. Wikipedia tells us "Since September 2002, over 30,000 congregations, corporations, and sports teams across the United States have participated in a "40 Days of Purpose" emphasis. A May 2005 survey of American pastors and ministers conducted by George Barna asked Christian leaders to identify what books were the most influential on their lives and ministries." The Purpose Driven Life was the most frequent response. Today's Christians are more familiar with the words of Warren than the Words of Jesus. Thousands of America's churches have used it in their Bible studies and thousands of preachers preach Warren's message.

Joel Osteen was voted Most Influential Christian in 2006. His preaching style focuses on "the goodness of God rather than sin." He is a self-described "Life-coach" and "thinks that there are probably others better qualified, or more gifted for explaining Bible verses. Osteen explains that he tries to teach Biblical principles in a simple way, emphasizing the power of love and a positive attitude." Wikipedia. "Presently, Osteen and several Lakewood Church team members travel across the nation, presenting programs in large stadiums to a paying public." He has sold millions of books to millions of feel-good Christians.

While our nation is killing babies, our schools are indoctrinating Christian-kids in Secular Humanism, and "Truth has fallen in the streets," our preachers are attending church-growth seminars, using 'self-help' books to supplement the Bible, and chasing after the butts and bucks. They are fiddling while the nation burns, building their church rather than Christ's Kingdom.

• Public schools are destroying the faith of Christian children.
• Legislation is introduced to remove the rights of parents.
• Children are taught they came from apes.
• Millions of children are "medicated" to control their behavior.

…and the pulpits are silent

• Gambling is promoted to pay for schools.
• Precious babies are being murdered in the womb.
• Planned Parenthood kills babies with our tax dollars.
• Judges make laws.

…and the pulpits are silent

• Tolerance trumps Truth.
• Homosexual sodomy is granted legal protection.
• The institution of marriage is crumbling.
• Obama says the Sermon on the Mount justifies gay marriage.

…and the pulpits are silent

• Government has replaced God as defender and provider.
• Faith-based initiatives invite the government into the Church.
• The IRS muzzles the voice of the Church.
• Taxes are levied to do the work of the Church.

…and the pulpits are silent

• The Church locks arms with compassionate-conservatism.
• Children's service agencies separate family members.
• Self-help books replace the Bible.
• A Purpose Driven Life is elevated above dying to self.

…and the pulpits are silent

• G.W. Bush says Christians and Muslims worship the same God.
• The Constitution is ignored.
• Pagans pray to open a session of Congress.
• Our elected officials lie and steal.

…and the pulpits are silent

• Private property is stolen by government.
• Mother Earth is protected more than Father God is exalted.
• Illegal aliens over-run our borders.
• The American Presidency is more anti-Christian than any Whitehouse in history.
• The entertainment industry celebrates and promotes debauchery.

…and the pulpits are silent

From a bygone era, the sound from the pulpit rumbles throughout the ages.
"Could a mariner sit idle if he heard the drowning cry? Could a doctor sit in comfort and just let his patients die? Could a fireman sit idle, let men burn and give no hand? Can you sit at ease in Zion with the world around you DAMNED?" -Leonard Ravenhill

"Churches don't need new members half so much as they need the old bunch made over. There wouldn't be so many non-church goers if there were not so many non-going churches. Too many churches are little more than four walls and a roof." -Billy Sunday

The voice from the pulpit today sings a different song. "The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?" Jeremiah 5:31. Truth, justice and the American way are a thing of the past.

"None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity." Isaiah 59:4.

And tragically, the pulpits are silent.

India’s 300,000 Strong Christian Revival” ...

... Sweeping Former Hindu Tribal Villages

Published On: Fri, Jun 6th, 2014

A large portion of India still predominantly lives in tribes, and one of the largest of these communities is witnessing a Christian revival, media sources reveal.

Hundreds of men, women and children who used to follow Hinduism are now professing Christianity as their religion, media sources say. Ask Dinesh Shur why so many tribal people are accepting Jesus Christ and he starts weeping in humility, media sources state.

“When you do God’s work for years and begin to see the fruits of your labor, it is overwhelming,” Shur told a media source recently. ”You see the changed lives, you see the eternal happiness on the faces of people, and how can it not move me,” he declared.

Here, in a corner of Rajasthan where the majority follow Hinduism, a Christian chorus is rising day by day, media sources explain. ”The transformation is almost immediate,” Shur said. “Families stop praying to their ancestors, they stop drinking, they stop their witchcraft practices and their entire life is turned upside down when they accept Jesus,” he declared.

Media sources reveal that, Shur is part of the reason why so many are turning to Christ.

For over a decade, Shur, known as Pastor Dinesh, served in a big city; but then God tugged on his heart and guided him to go back to his village, go back to his roots, to his own people and share the good news of Jesus Christ, media sources confirm.

“I was like Jonah in the Bible,” Shur said. “I didn’t want to live in my village.” “I wanted to serve God in the city, where things are easier,” he said, “I wanted to reach others with the gospel, not my own people.” Explaining in depth, Shur pointed to Sohan Lal’s life as fruit of his decision to return to his village.

“One day Pastor Dinesh told me about Jesus Christ,” Lal, who recently converted to Christianity, said. “He told me that if I put my trust in Him, I would be healed, and that my life would be different.” “So I did.”

Lal joined 178 of his tribe’s people recently at the edge of a river, not too far from their village and they were baptized by Pastor Dinesh, media sources reveal. ”I know all these men and women personally and I know what their lives were like before they met Christ,” Shur said.  “And now to be part of this spiritual milestone in their lives is an enormous privilege,” he added.

Also, Theru Bhai has been waiting for this day for a very long time.  Like Lal, Bhai too is a recent Christian convert, media sources reveal.

“After I accepted Christ I stopped drinking, I stopped smoking, and I stopped getting into fights,” Bhai said. “Getting baptized was my way to show the community, that I am a changed man,” he declared.  “Today Jesus Christ is my savior,” he said humbly.

Mannu was among the dozens of Hindu women, who also became baptized in the river that day, media sources add.

“I feel very happy after my baptism and thankful that I received Christ in my heart,” she said. “I will now follow Him the rest of my life,” she added. Mannu’s husband, Shantu, and children also decided to follow Christ after Pastor Dinesh spent significant time with them, media sources explain.
“My family is blessed today; because of Christ and because someone was willing to come and share the gospel with us,” Shantu said.

Pastor Dinesh is a member of the Bhil community, one of the largest tribes in the central states of India.

“The Bhil are mainly farmers and they are very poor and still follow century’s old-practices,” media sources report. “In many ways they live a life far different from those in the cities,” Shur explained. Shur further said: “Foreign missionaries have ministered to this area for more than 135 years and have never seen the results he’s witnessing today.”

Christians are still a minority within a minority in these parts; however, there are reports that as many as 300,000 people have become believers in the last 10 years, many of them from among the Bhil tribe, media sources say.

“We have 42 house prayer groups meeting in about 22 villages; and we also have 32 workers from our church; going from village to village as evangelists sharing the gospel,” Shur said. ”In the coming year my goal is to send out missionaries to neighbouring states to reach other Bhil villages,” he added.

Jeevani Karadi, a church leader in a remote part of Rajastan, is one of those who travel from village to village, media sources reveal.

When she’s not on the road, you’ll find this lively 65-year-old assisting to lead a house group with Pastor Dinesh. On the day media sources met her, she and dozens of believers were having church under a tree in the village, media sources say.

“Our group is getting so large, I don’t have enough space in my house to fit all these people so we come out here,” she said. Amazingly, Karadi’s testimony is the reason this meeting is even happening.

About six years ago, she used to roam the streets of her remote village, in effect, as the village mad woman, even walking around naked sometimes, media sources explain. Then she had an encounter with Jesus and today she leads a thriving church in Rajasthan, media sources reveal.

“The village used to make fun of me, and they would shout nasty things; as I walked on the streets,” Karadi recalled. “People said I was cursed.” ”Then I met Pastor Dinesh, and he prayed for me, and I was healed,” she continued. “I was delivered and Jesus set me free,” she declared.

Her healing led many to receive Christ and helped start the first house prayer group in the village, media sources add.

Shur said: “These testimonies are just another reminder to him of how important it is to obey and trust God.”

Christians india“Today I’m living the fruits of my decision to come back to my village.” “Is it easy?” “No.” “Do we face challenges?” “Yes,” he said. “But we have Christ to lean on.” “He is all we need to see change among my people,” the pastor proclaimed

Lots of Tares ... A Smattering of Wheat

CHRISTIAN NO MORE

By Lee Duigon
June 5, 2014
NewsWithViews.com

The flatline Protestant churches of America are giving birth to a new, false religion—one that will continue to call itself “Christianity,” but won’t be Christian anymore: one that will have an outward form of godliness while denying the truth of God’s word.

It will be to Christianity what reality TV is to reality.

Our Lord Jesus Christ said something which I’ve always had a hard time understanding. But I think I understand it now.

“Many will cry to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:22-23)

No one can do enough good works, wonderful or otherwise, to earn eternal life, as if God owed it to him for services rendered. Otherwise you could teach people that Jesus Christ is not our Lord and Savior but only a nice guy with delusions; and as long as you put in enough hours at the soup kitchen, God will have to pay you with eternal life whether He likes it or not.

Good works are good in themselves, but they are not the means of salvation, not a substitute for faith. Salvation is the free gift of God. It comes by faith—faith in Jesus Christ, who atoned in person for our sins and obtained God’s grace for us. That’s Christianity. You could look it up. This is what the Bible teaches.

The United Methodist Church, America’s second-biggest Protestant denomination, is close to splitting down the middle and making it official. The Presbyterian Church USA is shrinking faster than the Aral Sea.

For both denominations the fracture line is the same: there are a lot of people in the church who want a pseudo-Christianity that allows them to fornicate with members of the same sex. The PCUSA will hold its annual General Assembly this month in Detroit—a dying church convening in a dying city. On the agenda, as usual, is a hard push for the ordination of unrepenting, openly practicing homosexuals as clergy and church officers, and the performance of same-sex imitation marriages in PCUSA churches. (Source: “The Layman,” Vol. 47, No. 2/Spring 2014)

There is no ambiguity in the Bible’s teaching that homosexual acting-out is a grave sin, repugnant to God. The PCUSA delegates respond with a variety of lame excuses. Those verses of the Bible are old and obsolete. God didn’t mean the kind of homosexual sex we have nowadays, as if the kind they had back then was something different, and God just didn’t realize we would invent a right way to have gay sex. He likes it now, and means for us to “celebrate” it. Blah-blah-blah. And regardless of what those verses in the Bible say, it’s not a sin and God was just plain wrong for saying that it is.

How do these innovators paste fig-leaves over their rebellion against God’s word?

They cover it up with works of the flesh, of course. So the rest of the agenda is a hodge-podge of boilerplate left-wing politics: higher taxes on “the rich,” siding with the Palestinians against Israel, down with private charity, amnesty for illegal aliens, down with fossil fuels, stop Global Warming, abolish the death penalty, more gun control—they touch all the bases. These they imagine to be good works that will make God marvel at their righteousness and overlook their disdain for His word on marriage and morality.

This is not Christianity. It’s only Democrat talking-points repackaged as theology.

“Be not conformed to this world,” the Bible teaches (Romans 12:2). So naturally the flatliners want to conform to this world, or at least to the left-wing portion of it, as thoroughly as possible. Their theology couldn’t be more non-Christian if they were atheists or worshippers of Zeus.Down the road, their avowed passion for “radical inclusiveness” will lead them more and more to exclude Jesus Christ, and into an already-burgeoning taste for “goddess” worship and idolatry. They make something up and then they worship it.

Whatever is condemned in the Bible, they embrace. Not one of the Ten Commandments is safe from their experiments.

This is America, and the law is that they can believe and worship as they please. We have no power to forbid them, and I don’t suggest we try. It’s too bad, but there’s nothing we can do. We who remain faithful to God’s word can only witness to the truth. If people don’t want to hear it, that’s their problem.

But we can at least insist on truth in advertising. And these flatliners need another name than “Christian.”

Christian Accountability, Love - And The High Cost of Daring to Mention Them

I will use myself as the example here. It's sometimes easier for the reader. And to place myself in the role of the one in the wrong is certainly one that fits like an old pair of shoes. I have often shared some of my own failings on this blog over the years.

So, I will put to you the following case.

If I, as a Christian, put myself on the internet in the public eye as a Christian teacher who stands for certain scriptural beliefs- and you discover that I am presenting myself 'behind the scenes' as believing in something entirely different, I should not be surprised to be called out and exposed - publicly.

I would be doing harm to the body of Christ, and your act of exposing me would be an act of Christian love - to me, personally, and to those who were being deceived through my double mindedness. I might not like it, and it might be painful, but you would be acting in love toward me and my followers - and to the cause of Christ - by calling me to account and to repentance. Since Christians are accountable to each other, you would be doing a great disservice to me and to my followers if you were to allow me to continue deceiving others for whom I had assumed responsibility by taking it upon myself to publicly teach them biblical truths.

In such a case I should be forced to admit that the Lord was using you to call me to account, and to purity of biblical doctrinal truth.

The definition of Christian love has been contaminated by our American love of political correctness, which calls for us to ignore the fact that a teacher is leading Christians astray through error, and it defines 'love' as being 'nice' - and allowing a person to get away with misleading the body of Christ. That is not love. Christian love always places biblical truth and doctrine front and center, because our first commitment and obligation is to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

A certain element of the Christian community which does not like to be held accountable to the body of Christ notoriously uses this 'love' argument as a shield against the truth, maintaining that anything that makes one uncomfortable, embarrassed, or exposed is unloving. Not so. Their act of deception is the height of a lack of love and respect for the body of Christ - and, in fact, to Jesus Christ Himself.

The top of my blog indicates that my goal is "earnestly contending for the faith." Fighting in a war to defend the faith means one is constantly involved in a spiritual battle. It grieves me to see the falling away and the shenanigans that I have witnessed in the church for the past fifty years. I am compelled to mention it when I see it. This is what the Lord has called me and entrusted me to do. And do it I will.

There is no glory in what I do, I'm outnumbered on every front, and I am not universally loved for it. What I see across the littered remains of what was once the true church is increasingly discouraging. Frankly, I'm sick of it. I sometimes agonize over these issues. If I were not convinced the Lord called me to do it, I'd stop it immediately. However, I cannot. I am compelled to fight for the purity of gospel truth regardless of how little seems to be accomplished.

I have a profound love for people, and especially for the body of Christ.  But my greatest passion and highest commitment is to Christ Himself. It's His approval - and His alone - that I seek.

Incredible Spiritual Deception in America ... Are You Deceived?

The Great Deception in the American Church

Consider these statistics of Christianity in America: Eighty-four percent of the inhabitants of this nation say they believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, according to Barna Group, and 45 percent claim to be born-again Christians. Other studies show it is closer to 33 percent.

Either way, these numbers are high. Seventy-seven percent believe their chances of going to heaven are excellent. Thirty-three percent believe one day everyone will go to heaven.

Yet America has the highest percentage of single-parent families in the industrialized world, the highest abortion rate, the highest rate of sexually transmitted diseases, the highest rate of teenage birth by far, the highest rate of teenage drug use and the largest prison population per capita than any country in the world.

Consider also the great moral decline of the last generation (50 to 60 years) and these telling statistics in America. The divorce rate has doubled, teen suicide has tripled, reported violent crime has quadrupled, the prison population has quintupled, the percentage of babies born out of wedlock has risen sixfold, couples living together out of wedlock have increased sevenfold, and gay marriage is now a legalized reality in a number of states, with many believing the end is not in sight.

In this past generation, we have experienced an overwhelming increase in lawlessness, permissiveness and selfishness, even among Christians. Moral actions that were unthinkable a few decades ago are now commonplace—Christian leaders indulging in sexual sin and grossly immoral scandals, addicted to pornography and accompanied by an exploding divorce rate have greatly factored in the rapid decrease of morals in the American church. And as the church goes, so goes the world. In fact, the results of a survey among young American adults showed that the percentage who follow biblically based values for living has now dropped from 65 percent to a mere 4 percent since World War II.

There has never been a society in the history of mankind whose moral values have deteriorated so dramatically, in such a short period of time, as those of Americans in the last 50 years. And so far it shows no sign of stopping. These statistics are eye-opening, and they serve to warn us that something is terribly wrong with our brand of Christianity. They reveal how poorly the church has communicated the true gospel to mainstream America, and thus the reason for so much deception in our culture.

When the rich man died and went to Hades (Luke 16:19-31), he was surprised to find himself there. In the Jewish culture, they equated wealth with godliness, so this man thought God favored him. The common thought, especially among the Jews, was if you were blessed financially, then you were a good person and therefore favored by God and on your way to heaven. This also explains the disciples' astonishment when Jesus told them how hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 19:23-25).

Similarly, there was a church in Laodicea (Rev 3:14-22) who, due to their wealth, thought they too had attained God's favor. Jesus expressed great disapproval over their spiritual condition as well, which they were totally unaware of. They were deceived.

Are you in touch with your true spiritual condition? Or are you allowing the pop culture around you to dictate your standards? Are you conforming to the world's standards or to the Bible? Are you deceived? How can a nation of people among whom a large percentage claims to be born-again Christians experience the kind of degradation the above statistics reveal? Such deception is the state of America today, and the above statistics reveal the fruit of it.

The problem has been that the real gospel has not been preached nor lived. Both the profession and the practice of many so-called Christians in this nation have not matched up. Our substandard message has produced substandard believers. Our departure from the preaching of the cross, repentance, holiness, and the real empowering grace of God has increased the level of deception in the church. How else can we explain the disparity of the above statistics in the church and the nation?

But what is really at the root of this deception? This is what we need to carefully discern. In one word, it is humanism—the glorification of self. Humanism has crept into much of the modern-day church and is diluting the power of the real gospel.

The Inside Scoop on Vatican/Israeli PEACE by Insider Barry Chamish

Barry is a friend of mine and a world famous writer. It was inevitable that I would run into him, considering my interest in biblical prophecy, Israel and the Vatican. Over the past few years he has led me to an incredible 'insider' understanding of many complex issues which I would never have discovered on my own - The Complete Truth. He is, after all, a real insider of many years, and also a real truth seeker with a kind and loving heart. Love ya, Barry. CMR

POPE TO GIVE FINAL MARCHING ORDERS TO PRESIDENT PERES
                                                       by Barry Chamish

The Pope flew to Israel on a defamation tour in late May, '14. President Peres organized the tour in April, '13 when he promised the Italian media that "99% of the issues regarding the Israeli handover of the Last Supper Room to the Vatican have been resolved."  It was that last 1% that stopped the turnover which led to the pope's slanderous visit. He stopped first in Jordan where he set the tone for the rest of the visit by equating Israelis with Syrians, who have murdered 160,000 citizens and made refugees of almost two million in just a few years of civil war.

Then it was a brief helicopter ride to Bethelem where:
The pope also paused for several moments in front of a graffiti on the security wall in Bethlehem, bowing his head in prayer in front of a message proclaiming, "Pope we need to see someone to speak about justice. Bethlehem look like Warsaw ghetto. Free Palestine."

Like this ugly publicity stunt wasn't planned. Vicious clergymen acting as advance info gatherers staked the wall and found the perfect graffiti for an international photo-op...if they didn't write the message themselves.

Somehow, the angry Israeli reaction to the "incompetent" pope smothered the only big story of the trip:
Pope Francis invited both Abbas and Israeli President Shimon Peres on Sunday to his home in the Vatican for a "heartfelt prayer" for peace.
"I wish to invite you, president Mahmud Abbas, together with President Shimon Peres, to join me in heartfelt prayer to God for the gift of peace," he said at the end of an open-air mass in Manger Square in Bethlehem.
"I offer my home in the Vatican as a place for this encounter of prayer," he said. "Building peace is difficult, but living without peace is a constant torment. The men and women of these lands, and of the entire world, all of them, ask us to bring before God their fervent hopes for peace."

Peres, according to Leah Rabin in her autobiography, was educated in a Jesuit school in Poland. The underhistory only gets worse. Jesuit Pope Francis commemorates the Franciscan Order, which along with the Benedictines, organized Operation Paperclip in the late '40s to hide over 100,000 Nazis in their seminaries, give them new identities, and ship them to freedom largely in South America. The Vatican saved the Nazis, while Israel is its lengthening history has convicted only one nazi in its courts.
Perhaps, given what has been done to them in living memory, we can explain the utter lack of reasoning among the Jews, even at their highest levels. Look at this wacky reportage of a publicized incident of the papal tour by the editor of The Jerusalem Post:

This is so wrong, it borders on total delusion. Educated Jews spoke Hebrew in religious ceremonies but Aramaic was the common language of Israeli Jews at the time of Jesus. Creating false history has made Jews accessories to their own recent disasters. Peres, who has never sincerely prayed to any G-d known to the Jews, is not going to the Vatican to pray with any pope. Time is running out, Peres didn't deliver the Vatican their "properties," and he is going to Rome to get his final marching orders.
The Jewish "analysts" won't or can't be honest about their own recent history. In the mid-90s I co-edited a pre-internet newsletter called Inside Israel with Joel Bainerman. My buddy Lenny Wolfe was a close friend of Ron Pundak. He asked me if I'd like to meet him. Within two days Joel, me and Pundak were meeting in a Tel Aviv coffeehouse. Pundak was boasting and by being effusive, he spilled the beans on Oslo, peace and Peres.
To summarize real history: In September, 1993 at Kennebunkport, MA, outgoing American President George Bush, ordered incoming Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin to begin negotiations to bring the PLO to Israel in the name of "peace," knowing it would instead usher in an era of terrorism. Rabin despised his Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, so assigned the "diplomatic" task to Deputy Foreign Minister Yossi Beilin behind Peres' back. Beilin sent two wacky Tel Aviv "idealists," Ron Pundak and Yair Hirshfeld, to Oslo to negotiate the Oslo "peace accord." I got the ugly scoop of Oslo from Ron Pundak. Peres found out about their mission and his exclusion in the spring of '93. Knowing this Oslo peace was the only game in town, he sent Marek Halter to the pope with a letter offering Jerusalem as a prize for insinuating the Vatican in the "peace process."
In November of '93, the Oslo accord was signed, adjudicated by Beilin. Two weeks later, in December of '93, the Vatican Accord recognizing Israel, adjudicated by Beilin, was signed. Oslo and Vatican were the one and the same "peace accords." How did Vatican spy, current President Peres, react to the "peace?"

'Peres wants to yield sites to Vatican'

President Shimon hand over Israeli Peres is willing to sovereignty of key Christian holy sites to the Vatican, a proposition that is reportedly opposed by Interior Minister Eli Yishai and that has ruffled feathers among other senior government officials, Army Radio reported on Monday.
According to the radio report, the president is exerting pressure on the government to give up sovereignty over six sites, including the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth, the Coenaculum on Mount Zion, Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, and the Church of the Multiplication on the Kinneret.

Read on. By early '95 Rabin opposed Peres and his Vatican handover agenda. For that Peres organized his murder...with Vatican oversight.

The Vatican's Jerusalem Agenda
By Barry Chamish

Mon Sep 22 1997

Did Shimon Peres make a deal with the Vatican?
Consider the evidence:
  • On Sept. 10, '93, just three days before the signing of the Declaration of Principles in Washington, the Italian news magazine La Stampa reported that part of the peace deal was an unwritten understanding that the Vatican would receive political authority over the Old City of Jerusalem by the end of the millenium. The newspaper reported that Shimon Peres had promised the pope to hand over the holy sites of Jerusalem the previous May and that Arafat had accepted the agreement.
  • In March '94, the Israeli newsmagazine Shishi published an interview with Mark Halter, a French intellectual and close friend of Shimon Peres. He said he delivered a letter from Peres to the Pope the previous May, within which Peres offered the Vatican hegemony over the Old City of Jerusalem. The article detailed Peres's offer which essentially turned Jerusalem into an international city overseen by the Holy See.
  • In March '95, the radio station Arutz Sheva announced that it had seen a cable sent by the Israeli Embassy in Rome to the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem outlining the handover of the Old City of Jerusalem to the Vatican. Two days later Haaretz published the cable on its front page. The Foreign Ministry explained that the cable was genuine but someone had whited out the word "not." ie We will not transfer authority to the Vatican. Incredibly, numerous Bnei Brak rabbis who had cancelled Passover meetings with Peres over the issue of the cable accepted the explanation and reinvited him to their homes.
The Foreign Ministry's Legal Affairs Spokesperson, Esther Samilag, publicly complained about "various capitulations" to the Vatican. She was immediately transferred to a post at the Israeli Embassy in Katmandu, Nepal.
MK Avraham Shapira announced in the Knesset that he had information that all Vatican property in Jerusalem was to become tax exempt and that large tracts of real estate on Mount Zion were given to the pope in perpetuity.
Jerusalem's late Deputy Mayor Shmuel Meir announced that he had received "information that properties promised to the Vatican would be granted extra-territorial status."
Beilin was forced to answer the accusations. He admitted, "Included in the Vatican Agreement is the issue of papal properties in Israel that will be resolved by a committee of experts that has already been formed." If so, this committee has not since released any proof of its existence.
With all this in mind, how do we interpret the Vatican's current position on Jerusalem?
The following report, circulated by MSANews may shed some light on that:
Vatican City, Jun 14, 1997 (VIS) - Archbishop Renato Martino, apostolic nuncio and Holy See permanent observer to the United Nations, spoke June 9 on the status of Jerusalem at the New York headquarters of the Path to Peace Foundation. The archbishop addressed members of this foundation as well as U.S. members of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He began by briefly summarizing the "well-known and long-standing position of the Holy See with regard to Jerusalem. He stated that Jerusalem "for us, of course, along with the rest of the Holy Land, is that special link between heaven and earth, that place where God walked and ultimately died among men. And of course we recognize that others revere Jerusalem as the city of David and the prophets and the city known to Mohammed.... It is a spiritual treasure for all of humanity, and it is a city of two peoples, Arabs and Jews, and of the three monotheistic religions, Christianity, Judaism and Islam." Archbishop Martino added that "in recent years it has been increasingly difficult to break through the political and media-imposed stranglehold on the question of Jerusalem." he recounted Jerusalem's recent history, recalling in particular the UN's General Assembly Resolution 181 of 1947 calling for Jerusalem to be considered a 'corpus separatum' under the Trusteeship Council of the United Nations," a resolution which Israel accepted. He pointed out that, in addressing the gridlock which has resulted from the 1967 Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem, "the Holy See has therefore advocated the granting to Jerusalem of an 'internationally guaranteed special statute. That is the phrase used by Pope John Paul II in his 1984 Apostolic Letter 'Redemption is Anno'."
This statute "asks that regardless of how the problem of sovereignty is resolved and who is called to exercise it, there should be a supra-national and international entity endowed with means adequate to insure the preservation of the special characteristics of the City, its Holy Places, the freedom to visit them, its religious and ethnic communities, a guarantee of their essential liberties, and its city plan'."
The apostolic nuncio recalled the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Israel in 1993, when both signed the 'Fundamental Agreement." He noted Article 4 of this agreement where "both the Holy See and Israel affirm their continuing commitment to the 'Status quo' in the Christian Holy Places."
He also spoke of the problems sparked by Israel's recent authorization of "a project for the construction of settlements in occupied territory in East Jerusalem" for which "there was wide-spread international condemnation." This issue, he reminded those present, was brought before the UN Security Council on March 7 and March 21 of this year, but without resolution "because the sole country on the Security Council which opposed the Resolution was the United States."
An Emergency Session of the General Assembly, "organized only nine other times in the history of the United Nations" was held on April 24-25. The Holy See delegation was contacted and asked for suggestions for a Resolution, Archbishop Martino said. And he recounted the meetings, rough drafts of proposals and negotiations which followed.
The approved texts of the eventual Resolution, he underlined, contained "those points championed by the Holy See.... The General Assembly has here called for 'internationally guaranteed provisions' - the equivalent of the 'internationally guaranteed special status' called for by Pope John Paul II. This is particularly noteworthy because in this case, the Arab delegations all voted for this Resolution and therefore for this provision."
"The Holy Places within Jerusalem," concluded Archbishop Martino, "are not merely museum relics to be opened and closed by the dominant political authority, no matter who that might be at any given moment. They are living shrines precious to the hearts and faith of believers." DELSS/STATUS JERUSALEM/UN:MARTINO VIS 970616 (640)
Could that supra-national entity which will oversee the international city of Jerusalem be the Vatican just as Peres promised? And how do we react to Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Olmert's recent announcement that he will begin negotiations with the Vatican, but "only over holy sites?"
