For those of us who are able to open the pages of the Holy Bible and believe what we read in the context that we read it in, it is a strange and marvelous book filled with the answers to mankind's oldest questions. The bible tells us how we got here, who we truly are, and gives us the choice of where we wish to spend all eternity. And it talks about giants. Really, really big giants.

The end result being that all through the book of Genesis and for hundreds of years, man and these giant creatures lived together. Numbers 13:33 ·         "For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man." Deuteronomy 3:11 (here is a man so large his bed is 13.5 feet long!) ·         "And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span." 1 Samuel 17:4 Yes, giants are all through the Old Testament as simply a recorded fact in the human timeline. The flood of Noah was sent by God because these half-human, half-angel giants, or Nephilim in Hebrew, were living so wickedly that God wiped out everyone on the planet except for Noah and his family. But a race of giants existed after the flood, they came back. In the New Testament, Jesus says that the days immediately preceding the time of Jacob's Trouble, what we call the Great Tribulation, will be just like it was back in Noah's day. That means giants will once again roam the earth in the sight of man. "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." The haunting idol is twice as old as the Egypian pyramids and was preserved 'as if in a time capsule' in a peat bog It was made during the Mesolithic period, around 7,500 BCE but was only discovered in 1890 in Kirovgrad, Sverdlovsk region, in the Ural Mountains. It stands 9.2ft (2.8 metres) in height but originally was 17.4ft (5.3 metres) tall, as high as a two story house. Almost 6.5ft (2 metres) of the artefact went missing during Russian's 20th century political turmoil, though Siberian archaeologist Vladimir Tolmachev drew images of all the pieces. The messages carved into the ornament 'remain 'an utter mystery to modern man', according to experts. Some say the straight lines could denote land, or horizon - the boundary between earth and sky, water and sky, or the borderline between the worlds. A wavy line or zigzag symbolised the watery element, snake, lizard, or determined a certain border.  But the marks could have multiple meanings for the ancient statue-makers who gave the idol seven faces, only one of which is three-dimensional. The bible warns, straight from the mouth of Jesus Christ, that in the last days the professing Christian church would be very wealthy, very self-satisfied, would no longer preach the truth, and would relegate the Lord Himself  to standing outside and knocking to get back in. It would be a totally worldly, carnal, dead church.

That day has fully arrived.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – A mega-church in Alabama recently held an open house to celebrate the opening of its $26 million dollar, six-dome entertainment center, which some are stating is far from biblical Christianity and the example of the early Church.

Church 2014: Nightclubs, bowling alleys, fitness center, and teen dance club. Everything but Jesus and the Bible.

Faith Chapel Christian Center in Wylam, near Birmingham, completed the project on it 137-acre campus last year, all of which was funded by the tithes and offerings of its more than 6,400 members. The facility is located in a depressed area where a number of residents are low-income.

“We believe we can really meet the needs of the community,” leader Michael Moore, author of the book Rich is Not a Bad Word, told AL.com. “It will bridge people from the world to the Kingdom.”

According to reports, the facility features—among other amenities—a 12-lane bowling alley, a basketball court, a fitness center, a banquet hall and cafe, a teen dance club, and an adult alcohol and smoke-free night club.

“People may not want to come to a church, but they’ll come to a bowling alley,” Moore explained. “People have needs other than spiritual needs. There’s a need for safe, clean, uplifting, family-oriented entertainment.”

He said that the open house held in July served in part to announce the six-dome structure, called “The Bridge,” to the community, and to “inspire” other churches nationwide to build similar facilities.

“Now we want the world to know,” Moore explained. “Our church wants to be an inspiration.”
