The State Department and NSS have expressed concern with how some USG, including DOC, documents available on the Web have referred to Jerusalem — specifically, such documents have referred to Jerusalem as being located within Israel.
U.S. policy is to promote a final and permanent resolution of the status of Jerusalem through negotiations by the parties to the Arab-Israeli conflict and support by the international community.
In light of this policy, the United States does not treat Jerusalem as a city located within Israel, and references to Jerusalem in DOC internet postings and other documents should not treat Jerusalem as such.
For example, reference may be made to "Jerusalem," but not to "Jerusalem, Israel."
Please keep this in mind when drafting documents that will be made public. Examples include trade mission statements, communications with legislators, reports on U.S. exports, etc. To the extent ITA web postings and other documents are inconsistent with this policy, they should be corrected, and we are working with appropriate ITA staff to take care of the examples brought to our attention by the State Department.

QUESTION: What is the State Department's position regarding American persons born in Jerusalem who wish to have passports issued that indicate their place of birth as Israel?
ANSWER: Current U.S. Government policy is that U.S. citizens born in Jerusalem may not have "Israel" listed in their passports as their place of birth. See the U.S. Department of State's Foreign Affairs Manual 7 FAM 1300 Appendix D for further details.
Appendix D reads:
As a result of the June 1967 Arab-Israeli War, the Government of Israel currently occupies and administers the Golan Heights, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip. U.S. policy recognizes that the Golan Heights is Syrian territory, and that the West Bank and the Gaza Strip are territories whose final status must be determined by negotiations.

God is not happy to hear this. in fact, He is about to unleash His Holy Wrath upon those who refuse to accept His Ownership of Jerusalem, Israel, and much of the surrounding countries which have been co-opted by Arabs - and, for that matter, the entire globe which He created.
