You think he could leave a little country church alone, wouldn't you? But, no. Earth is his realm, and he means to take every last strip of territory. Even my church.
This great spiritual war is cosmic. It doesn't affect only earth. The universes are shot through with evidence of massive warfare. Satan's anger stems from his opposition to the birth of Jesus. Why? Because Jesus is the author and finisher of our salvation. "Whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:15).
Satan hates mankind, which he holds tightly in his grasp. He has the legal authority over us, which God has granted to him, and he continually accuses us of our sin, as he stands before the throne of God in heaven. We are all guilty as charged. But...Jesus provided us with an escape through his death on the cross where he shed his blood, was buried, and rose on the third day. This resurrection reverberated throughout the entire cosmos, and it provided those who believed in Christ's sacrifice for their sins and became His children ... everlasting life! This, Satan cannot abide - and will snatch every single individual away from this salvation as he accuses them "day and night" in heaven.
Soon he and his angels will be thrown out of heaven - at the same time that believers purchased by the blood of Jesus are caught up into the heavenly realm. Then all hell will break loose on earth: "Therefore, rejoice ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitors of the earth and of the sea for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." We are sitting right on the verge of this event.
So what is Satan's plan? He is forming a counterfeit of the way of salvation. He mimics the plan of Christ in every respect. He has a new global religion (even an 'overshadowing' of believers), most preachers, unity of 'the brotherhood,' a plan for us to all be "One" with "god". In fact, through phony 'contemplative prayer' (TM) and other devices he is able to present himself as "Jesus" when people meditate. ("Another Jesus," as the Bible tells us.)
And he is accomplishing this WITHIN THE 'CHRISTIAN' CHURCHES themselves! For decades, pastors have been trained to deceptively bring these programs into the church. The pastors are themselves deceived. Satan must have leaders who appear as righteous gospel preachers.
"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." (2 Corinthians 11:13-15.)
Satan owns the world leaders, the economies, and now religion, through the new global religion being installed by Tony Blair and Rick Warren (and pastors and religious leaders across the globe). Those who accept this apostasy into their churches will have no problem accepting the mark of the beast, because they will already have been deceived and pre-programmed to want it. It will seem 'right in their eyes.'
The Church of Jesus Christ has never been a popular movement. It's always been the 'narrow gate ... and FEW there be who find it."
