All of God's children need to spend time in His Waiting Room. It is the place where the Potter molds the clay. It's where we mature, where we grow up, where He makes us fit for His work.
Think of those who spent years waiting. Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Moses, the prophets. And in the New Testament, John the Baptist spent his entire life waiting for the Messiah, as did Simeon and Anna.
We are too impatient in the 21st century. We want all the wrong things and we want them now. That's why we're in the mess we are in.
We need to welcome time in the Waiting Room. It is where we learn to worship. It is where we learn to know God personally. People can't hear God these days because they are too busy for Him. There is too much noise in our lives. Our priorities are wrong.
"Be still, and know that I am God," He says.
We need to SEEK the Waiting Room.
It can be painful at first. It takes time to slow down. It takes time to be able to be quiet, to be hidden, to learn solitude. We learn about ourselves, which is always painful. And we learn about God, we make his acquaintance, we learn to hear His voice and then to actually listen to Him. And we can learn to know Him intimately.
Christianity is not a religion. It's a relationship. With the very Creator of the universe.
Somehow I don't think we believe eternal life is real. It's just a word to most people. A ghostly, shadowy dreamlike idea of a spirit floating in the 'ether.' If so, we are in for a huge awakening. It's nothing like that.
The next phase of life after this one, for the Christian, will be far more real, far more exhilarating, exciting and interesting. This life is but a shadow of what's to come.
The Waiting Room is the schoolroom in which we prepare for everlasting life.
ENROLL NOW.
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matt 6:19-21
An Heir of The King
"For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body."Romans 8:22-23
